For sale is my 1976 Alpha Romeo Spider Veloce. It starts and runs great and has been a really fun car for me, but I must clear out the garage for another toy. I don't know if I'd call this car a 'project' because while it definetly needs some body work, it is good as is. Here's what I know about this awesome car. It starts, idles and runs great. The engine has a lot of pep and it's no problem driving on the highway or higher speeds at all. The electric all works, but I would suggest new wiring to make it perfect. The wipers and lights are fine. The biggest issue with the car is the rust, which I've tried to highlight in the pics. There is substantial rocker panel rust but the interior of the car, the floorboards and doors are all fine. The roof is fine, and I'm guessing about ten years old. I've owned this car for about five years and bought it from the original owner. It's been an Atlanta car since new, in 1976 so no salt or bad weather. The seats don't have any cracks and the carpeting is in good shape. Radio has a removable front and works fine but the speakers are a bit 'crackly'. The odometer isn't working so I'm not sure what the exact mileage is, but I've only put about 500 - 1,000 miles on it in the 5 years I've owned it, not my daily driver and no long trips ever. Car has relatively new tires and they're perfect. You'll see in a pic that the chrome trim under the front window is loose, due to rust. This can easily be affixed with bondo, glue or other rust repair but that's up to you. The front windshield glass is a bit cloudy due to it's age, but it's not cracked or chipped and visibility isn't an issue. Overall, the car, even with the lower rusty spots, is a head turner and it's a blast to drive. I bought the car in Feb of 2006 and here's a few items that I've had done: New Gas Tank and retrofit install Front Calipers were replaced Cluth Pivot Pin was replaced and rewelded Door handles repaired New rear brake pads androtors New tires bought in March 2007 New Battery The engine and all components are all original. This car has not been restored and would either be a great as-is driver or restoration project. Feel free to call me with any questions. You're welcome to come and inspect.
