Up for auction is my 1970 chevy stepside truck. I purchased this truck sixteen years aro with intentions of fully restoring it. The truck has the original 250 straight six and original 3 speed tranny. 10 years ago I had the top end of the motor rebuilt (springs, valves, etc) by a local mechanic. I have rplaced the battery holder, radiator support, and inner fender bc of some bad rust due to old batteries(typical among these trucks). I started replacing some things in the interior and then thats as far is i got. The wood bed was replaced with a steel mat before i purchased the truck. All glass is intact even though the windows are aggrivating to roll up and down. The original rims are in the bed of the truck and do come with it. The truck has been stored in my barn for many years now,(last driven regularly in 2002) but was regularly cranked and driven around the farm. So it would need to be checked out by a mechanic before made into an everyday driver. But as far as a restoration candidate this is a good truck. Pictures have been taken of any notable areas that are bad such as: passenger side front fender(battery corrosion), drip rail along roof and inside below visors has some bad rust (but fixable), some rust penetrating below both doors, some surface rust (hence the primer on the driver side). Tailgaite is orignial (had bought a cheap spray kit and was testing it out) I do reserve the right to end this auction as the truck is for sale here locally.
