Just got this car and Decide to put it up for auction As Is...1966 Ford Mustang Coupe 65A, Code C. Number match running 289ci. 2V, V-8, manual transmission, Black interior car. This is very solid and straight car. Very good car to restore or Drive around. 118,013 miles on it. Originally was three speed and currently 4 speed manual transmission with aftermarket shifter and boot. Original color was springtime yellow and painted to red. You will see there are some few places where red paint came off under hood in the pictures. Trunk hasnt been touch or paint over much. I dont think they spray primer or sealer before applied new color on the car. Driver side quarter panel replaced and known to be only one Ford OEM sheet metal(sticker still attached on inside under trunk) that has been replaced good job on this car.. We do not know when it was painted, would guess about 15 years ago.. if your looking to restore this mustang, it would need some body work and paint job due to few dings, dents and chips, also there are some rust in common place such like lower front driver side fender, passenger side rear above wheel lip, some rust appearing on the edge under trunk lid and very small bubbles on top front end of hood around FORD emblem.. There is rust hole in back of driver floor. Under the car is all solid and good structure. There is close up pictures of most area that will show you all about this car. Front end and Rear suspension has been upgraded with polyurethane bushings, new springs, Cal-trac bars(I think that's what they called), Air shocks and some parts, all new brakes. Cragar S/S rims, some has chrome pits inside around lug nuts. We have set of Original GT wheels came off '67/'68(not sure year) to go with the car. Not aware of engine history but We took valve covers off, they look good and clean. Runs and sounds good. All windows, chrome bumpers, trims and moldings are original. Interiors are all original except for front seats new covers with foams and a carpet. Aftermarket CD player and Sony speakers are in there working good. CD player mount on bottom of dashboard, Sony speakers in custom-fit kick panels. Three way speakers in the back. All wires has been replaced with "Painless" Wiring harness and fuse box, Some places arent hidden properly. All doors, trunk and hood shut perfect. It has original owner manual book, some papers and receipts. Runs and Drives Good! Email if you have questions or anything. It is for sale locally and we have right to stop this auction.
