1972 Porsche 914 1.7 Liter. I will list all the cons of the car 1st, & all the bitchin stuff later. There are some areas of rust in the seams by the front fenders, rear deck lid is pretty bad from previous owner drilling holes in it for whale tail. No major rust that I have seen. Car looks like it had been hit from behind at one point & damaged inside trunk. The exterior damage is not visible due to a 916 ground effect kit installed by previous owner. Rear deck lid solanoid does not work. There is a electrical short in the car somewhere, won't hold charge. Rook leaks. The car has been sitting awhile so it needs a good once over. I do take it out & drive it every once in a while, it is registered & insured. It does leak some oil. With all that being said, here are all the pros. The motor was rebuilt about 20 years ago, I do have to say that the moter has I would guess only 20,000 miles on it. All rebuild parts were german, top & bottom end done with hydrolic lifters installed, which seem to stick after I have not started it for a long time & then they stop after they pump up. It has a 916 ground effects kit on it. The previous owner did a marginal job on the bondo seam, needs reworked for paint. Front spoiler has a few cracks that need to be repaired. It has PORSCHE FACTORY ALLOY OPTION WHEELS WITH STAINLESS STEEL CENTERS, STAINLESS STEEL HEAT EXCHANGERS, NEW UNINSTALLED CARPET FOR INTERIOR INCLUDING CARGO & PADDING. NEW UNINSTALLED WHALE TAIL, NEW UNINSTALLED FOG LIGHTS, NEW UNINSTALLED SHOCKS & STRUTS, NEW 916 MASTER CYLINDER & REAR BRAKE CALIPER (PARKING BRAKE SEAL HAD BEEN LEAKING) INSTALLED A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO. NEW MUFFLER INSTALLED A FEW YEARS AGO. PIONEER CD PLAYER. SOME NEW SEALS INSTALLED IN THE ROOF & DOORS. UNINSTALLED STAINLESS STEEL BRAKE LINES FOR THE BACK, ALREADY INSTALLED ON THE FRONT. NEW UNINSTALLED AFTER MARKET SIDE VIEW MIRRORS. I HAVE MANY EXTRA PARTS LIKE HEAT EXCHANGERS, HEATER BOXES, & OTHER STUFF. THERE IS AN EXTRA MOTOR THAT I HEARD RUN WITH IT ALSO. IT IS A 1.7 WITH THE ELECTRONICS & BOX!!! THERE HAS BEEN A SHORT SHIFT KIT INSTALLED. THE HEATER FAN WAS NOT INSTALLED WHEN I BOUGHT IT, BUT I DO HAVE ONE TO INSTALL I BOUGHT. THE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR TOOK A DUMP ON ME, BUT I ALSO HAVE ONE I BOUGHT TO INSTALL. This is a blast to drive with the tops off along the ocean, it is a unfinished project car, but as you see with what you get, if you got the time, this will be one of the sweetest around.
