Here is our 1998 Honda Prelude in MINT condition. This car is hard to believe. Seriously, this is a no-excuses, no disappointments, no-BS automobile. Southern car since new, rust-free, clean Carfax, no accidents, paint work, etc. Clean and clear SC title. This car is tight and quiet. It runs and drives like a Honda should. There have been no modifications to this vehicle. No aftermarket "fart pipe" exhaust system, no performance computer chip, no aftermarket air intake. This car is virginal to the point that it has the original stereo, and always had genuine Honda oil and air filters! I did replace the stereo speakers (with Kenwood high-end speakers) as the original ones were dry-rotted and make crackling noises. This vehicle was originally owned by an 81-year old lady who traded the car in on a new Honda Accord coupe last year. We have all service records dating back to new, and it has been meticulously maintained. Vehicle has always been dealer-serviced and the service printout accompanies the car. Seriously, little old ladies drive Buicks and Cadillacs. How many of them drive Honda Preludes?? I looked for over a year for a Prelude this nice. Finding one in this condition is a rarity! I bought this car for my wife, and after getting it home, she did not like the style. I find it a blast to drive, but it isn't practical for me, as I haul clients around. We purchased a new 2011 Accord Coupe last Saturday, so this car has got to go! This vehicle is a sage green metallic color with a tan/black, two-tone interior. Very sharp! There are no mechanical issues, whatsoever. The engine starts and runs like it should, the transmission shifts like it should in automatic and tiptronic mode. The timing belt and water pump were replaced at 36K miles! All gauges read normal. No malfunctions or warning lights displayed. I am not a dealer, but rather a guy with passion for cars. I buy and sell low-mileage, virginal cars, and trade them fairly often. All power accessories function like they should. The power windows, locks, sunroof, etc. work like new. All lights & buzzers work fine. The body is about perfect, with one small ding on the passenger's side rear wheel well. The paint looks good and glossy, but does show some scratches and imperfections. It looks like a bird poop or two got the chance to bake in the Alabama sun. That may come out with rubbing or polishing compound, but I haven't tried. Someone with a buffer could probably work wonders. The tires are BF Goodrich Touring TAs with about 90% tread left. The brakes are in great shape. This car literally needs nothing but a new owner! Car is sold as-is, where is. We need a $1000 deposit via PayPal within 24-hours of the auction ending. On Feb-19-11 at 07:39:21 PST, seller added the following information: I made a mistake in the previous listing, the tires are not BF Goodrich Touring TAs, they are BF Goodrich G-Force Super Sport A/S tires. They are pretty much in new condition with approximately 90% tread remaining. The car has never been smoked in. There are no weird smells, it smells like a Honda should. In addition, I had numerous folks ask me for pictures of the wheels. I have added high-resolution pics of all (4) alloy wheels. The driver's side front has a small scuff, but is very presentable. The other three are in nearly perfect shape. I have also had numerous folks ask me for a "Buy It Now" price to end the auction. That magic number price would be $9500. That is a small price to pay for a collector-quality Prelude. There aren't many Preludes left in this condition, especially ones that have been adult-driven and meticulously maintained!
