You are bidding on a E300D six cylinder non turbo diesel. I bought the car in March last year, this is the first MB I have owned. I love the way the car is built, rides and handles. Since I got the car I became interested in all their models. My daily driver is a one ton dodge diesel. When I first got in the car to drive it home I was a litttle uncomfortable with the size. After a few miles I realized how this handled and rode and my fears went away. Once you have one you always will. Like I said I became interested and looked at a S420. I don't need to cars, I want two cars but don't have the room or the time. So............ The car is in remakable good condition for its age and miles. I am the second owner. The first owner took very good care of the car.I have some records during the warrenty period. After that he had all the work done at a friends imports repair shop. The armrest shows a little wear (in pic) The clear coat has failed in some areas mostly right side (in pic) and the cruise control doesn't work The damage to rear of car was repaired , new bumper cover, fender repaired and painted.The front and rear doors where also painted according to first owner (parking lot dings) This was sold last week but the bidder didn't take it. I had a problem with the glow plugs while it was listed and told him that. Since the car was not as advertised I reduced the price and we agreed on that price and he back out the next day. I took the car to a MB dealer and their recommendations were to replace the glow plugs (two are not working) replace the glow time relay (which they replaced) and replace the wiring harness. I have plugged in the block heater so starting has never been a problem no smoke and smooth running on start up. With out all the plugs working it runs rough and smokes on start up for a short time. Any way if this doesn't sell I'll keep until the summer run it and replace these things in the fall. These come pretty well loaded plus the options below.
