Vehicle Detail

1968 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham in Great condition - Relisted with a lower starting bid You can view many more photos at my photobucket site. the pics on ebay list are about 60 days old. In the photobucket site, some were taken last year. http://s1186.photobucket.com/albums/z369/68-cadillac-fan/ SUMMARY: I am the 2nd owner, have owned her for over 15 years. 149k miles. Black Paint, Black Vinyl top, Original Black leather interior. Footrests in the back seat. Original Protect-o-plate. Original owner purchased new in New Jersey, and moved for Florida, where the car has spent its life. Like all Cadillac Fleetwoods, it came from the Factory with nearly every option. (Sorry, Does not have heated seats, Front Disk brakes or limited slip differential) New tires and brakes October 2010, Car had been in storage for about a year. Starts right up and runs good. Engine: 472 V-8 runs strong. Original from factory with 10-1 compression. Does not smoke or burn excessive oil. Replaced Q-Jet Carb with Edelbrock 600 cfm carb with auto electric choke. Plenty of power. Custom Dual Exhaust with mufflers and resonators, so it’s a quiet ride I personally performed the body work on this car in the late 1990s. The Project included - Lots of block sanding so it’s a very straight body, Black Sikkens paint, clear coat, and wet sanded and buffed. Vinyl roof replaced at that time. Rebuilt A/C to 134a, which needs a recharge (compressor turns on, not frozen). In early 2000s I Hired mechanic to rebuild the front end with Front end kit bought from Kanter Automotive. Car needs: A/C recharged, Steering Center Link installed (part included with car), Leak in rear window when it rains could use some attention. There are a few rust spots on the trunk lid, the hood edge, and a couple of bubbles at the front fenders behind the front tires. The drivers seat has wear and tear, dashboard lights do not come on. Currently driving every day, lots of complements from people at the car shows, cruise ins, and on the street. This car is not a trailer queen or a show stopper. It's a fun cruiser that gets attention, drives nice, looks good, and will provide the future owner with lots of pleasure and opportunities to tinker and improve the car.
