Vehicle Detail
As you can see in the pictures, this is a nice looking vehicle. New paint job about 5 years ago. There are a couple of chips in the paint near the front(see pics). New alternator, battery, and plugs. Interior in good shape. Motorized radio antenna broken, but radio works. Vehicle tagged and inspected and starts right up! I bought this last summer off of Ebay. At the time I bought it, it ran fine and was driveable, but it did burn a little bit of oil and had a small transmission leak(Torque Converter Seal I think). I figured if I kept it, that sooner or later I would pull the engine and transmission and have them rebuilt. About 6 months ago I went for a late afternoon drive in it, and it overheated bcuz the radiator drain plug popped out and all the coolant drained out. I did not notice it was overheating until I looked down at the gauges after I'd driven it about 60 miles. I don't know how long I had been driving with it running hot, but I can't believe it was that long bcuz the engine would have siezed up. Plus it still runs today! I take it out for a short drive at highway speeds every week. The problem since it overheated is, the oil pressure slowly drops the longer it runs, until it eventually reaches zero when idling. I was going to pull the engine and transmission myself and have them rebuilt. Thunderbolt in Houston, Tx quoted me about $2300-$2500 to rebuild both about 6 months ago. That's with me pulling the engine and transmission myself, and taking it to them to rebuild. I really like this car, and as you can see it's pretty sweet looking. But after 6 months of trying to decide whether I want to fix it or not, I've decided reluctantly to sell it. Seller reserves the right to end auction early, as it is being sold locally!!!On Feb-09-11 at 12:50:16 PST, seller added the following information: Since I bought this vehicle, it has been kept indoors with a custom car cover on it - the car cover is part of the sell. The car has only seen sunshine! On Feb-09-11 at 17:45:28 PST, seller added the following information: Forgot to mention there is a tear in the upper right corner of the back window. It was that way when I bought it. It never bothered me cuz I bought it to ride with the top down.
