Vehicle Detail
This is a 1997 S10 pickup with the V6 Vortech engine for sale for parts or to fix up. Vehicle was damaged in 5mph slow-speed run-in with jacked-up other pickup truck (see photos below). Frame integrity is uncompromised. Damage only to front parts. Engine runs strong, and known issue of leaky head gasket and wiring bundle on top of fuel tank has been repaired. Vehicle has brand-new exhaust, full-sized spare on regular rim, and serpentine belt. Tires are decent, interior in good condition; bed protected by tonneau cover is in good shape; no rot-through that I can see, though minor surface rust. Accident details; vehicle slid on ice and hit a jacked-up pickup at literally maybe 5mph. You can see in the photos that what caused the damage was the fact that the bumpers never made contact; the towing hitch on the rear of the front vehicle speared into the hood and grille. There was NO "hard hit" to the front to compromise the frame. Because I didn't have collision insurance, I have decided to sell it for parts, or if you have the ability, it would make a good fixer-upper, as the engine runs strong and the bed and interior are in decent shape. As far as I can see, the radiator was damaged, although it's still holding fluid and the truck runs fine. I drove it home, and 4 miles to where it is being temporarily stored. The bodywork obviously needs to be replaced. Vehicle is in the Fingerlakes area of New York, in Auburn, specifically. You must make arrangements for shipping or pickup. Vehicle CAN be driven, although I wouldn't take it down the highway in current condition!
