rangaspar Store Original List Price $93,500 1992 MERCEDES BENZ SEL500148,000 ACTUAL MILES Up for bid with NO RESERVE is a 1992 Mercedes Benz 500SEL. This car was a theft recovered vehicle in 2006. I bought it at an auction in 2007. I purchased the car in 07 as a project, figured it would be a good car for my son to use when he turned 16 because it is a tank, the car did not have Wheels or Tires. I ended up buying some 18" AMG Wheels. I then put the wheels on, charged up the battery and it fired up no problems. Engine sounded pretty good (ran a little rich because it was sitting for 6 monthes or so) all windows worked including the sunroof, all power options worked. I put it in reverse and after going back 15 feet or so, the back right wheel locked up. When car was stolen, the thief, cut the leather seats, stolen stereo, and keyed outside exterior. As of now, car does not start (battery) I tried to charge it up last week and it is DEAD. The car does have suspension issues in that rear right wheel.With the exception of the drivers side mirror, all glass is in good shape.Exterior parts are in good shape.18" AMG Wheels and tires in good shape.Paint fade and oxidation.Since it has been sitting under a tree for 3 years, bird poop on roof needs buffedI have Key and Title.
