Normal 0 Here is a 1999 Chevrolet Metro up for bid. This car runs and drives, shifts well, brakes are so so, has minor body rust in a couple of places. Door locks need lubed to get them working again with the key. One hubcap missing.The biggest problem is when the engine gets up to operating temperature; it has something rattling in the top end. There is an extra engine and trans that come with the car if the winning bidder wants them for free. The extra engine ran but didn’t want to idle just right so we threw in a different one. It has now been outside for the last year so will probably be stuck and need to be rebuilt. Trans and torque converter were replaced last year because the car stopped moving one day so extra trans may or may not be good. I would consider it a good core to rebuild. This is the four cylinder Metro and this car gets really great mileage. This car should be towed, as there is the rattling with the engine. This is an as-is all sales final transaction.
