1983 Honda Interceptor 2/8/2011: Thank you for the questions and interest this bike is getting. I am changing the description of this bike to the following: This bike has a new battery and the motor started well, easy start, no smoke, yet I have had a clutch problem eliminating the option to ride the bike for about 2 years. I tried working on the clutch today, shifted into 1st gear, the motor stopped and now I am unable to get the bike back into neutral to restart. 2/9/2011: From the advice of a bike mechanic, we lowered the bike from the centerstand, rolled the bike and it freed up the shifter. We then sprayed WD-40 on the gear shift shaft and it went straight to neutral. We were able to start the bike easily and bike does not smoke and idles well. The clutch still is not working. This bike will be sold AS IS with no commitment to the mechanical needs or condition. Condition: This is a 3rd owner family bike that has been garage kept it's entire lifetime. Low original miles 12,186. Cosmetically in nice, clean condition for age. No rust, slight ding on right hand side of gas tank. Seat has a slight tear on the top edge. Bike is all original. Bike has been ridden less then 2,000 miles in the last 14 years. Brand new battery installed today. This bike has a clear title and is great for the collector or a great project bike. Two (2) new BATTLAX tires were installed by our local cycle shop three (3) years ago and have less then 200 miles on them. Local Pick Up Only.....No Freight Available. Again this bike is 27 years old and needs an owner that enjoys the maintenance and project type bike...I am a motivated seller.
