Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Offered by United Online Auto Sales of Wilder KY. We are located at 4 Interstate Access Rd. Wilder KY 41076. We have an additional 30-40 pictures and vehicle information available at our website www.unitedonlineautosales.com . 2010 Honda CRV LX Front Wheel Drive I purchased this SUV at the Insurance Auction from State Farm Insurance about 2-3 weeks ago. I didn't realize it was a flood car until we got it back here to our dealership. So, now it is for sale AS IS. I don't have the resources or time to deal with a car like this. It is a Front Wheel drive unit with power windows, power locks, cruise, tilt wheel, power mirrors. CD player and a tow hitch. Body appears to be in really nice shape inside and out except some scratches next to the drivers door handle (see picture). The interior and exterior are in very nice shape and are representative of a 2010 model car. I did try to charge up the battery just out of curiosity to see what would work and nothing happened. I can't really tell much looking at the car because their is no real visual sign of the water damage. It must have been some clean water or it just wasn't in the water very long. I think the water line was at the radio/CD player because i did notice a little bit of dirt on the felt lip of the CD opening. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. We are here 8 -5 Monday through Friday, feel free to stop in and take a look at it. Thanks....Matt On Feb-12-11 at 17:03:48 PST, seller added the following information: I have had several people ask about checking the engine so today Feb 12th (Saturday) we pushed the car into our shop and checked it out. First we drained the water out of the engine by opening the drain plug on the oil pan. We got approximately 2-3 quarts of water out until it started puring pure oil. I then closed the oil back up and checked the oil level. It was about where it should be. I then wanted to make sure the starter was actually going to work before changing the oil and filter. So, I pulled all the spart plug and manually cranked the engine around using a wrench on the end of the crank shaft. The engine spun around as expected and sprayed out water from all four spark plug openings. I then tried to cross over the started to spin the enigne around. All that happened when I activated the started was the bendix would pop out but the starter would not spin around. So we couldn't use the starter to spin the engine around. In order to verify that we had compression in all four cylinders I reinstalled the spark plugs and cranked the engine around using the wrnech on the crank shaft. I cranked around about 4 or 5 complete rotations. I got resistance about every half a rotation just like I would expect and it seemed to be consistant for all 4 cylinders. From performing this test I believe that the engine has not sustained any major damage. It appears to have compression in all four cyclinders and rotates around with out any issues. You will need to replace the starter motor and change the oil and filter before you can perform a complete compression test however I believe that you have a good engine. I hope this helps. Matt
