Vehicle Detail
CONTACT JEFF AT 570 977 0741. Up for sale is a true piece of Americana Hot Rod History. The legendary 1954 Ford F100 or " F1 " pickup. This one is a turn key running driver. It is a true sleeper with a very nice healthy crate motor small block ford mustang V8 under the hood mated to a C4 automatic transmission with a Jennie auto floor shifter. This truck was equipped from the factory with an automatic transmission and still retains the automatic column and an automatic transmission ratio rearend. Please take time to inspect all the pictures carefully. I had this truck put up on a lift so I could photo the undercarriage to show all potential buyers the true solid platform of this truck. Look at the wheel well photos. Very nice and very solid. The frame is straight and clean. The suspension is solid. Period correct hot rod style wheels with the deep dish reverse rears and standard fronts shot in Ford Red with wide whitewall tires; this truck sits very well with a nice rake. I even shot a 90 second video of the chassis that I can send to any buyers if they would like. This truck has 4 RUST FREE, DENT FREE ALL STEEL FENDERS, BED & TAILGATE! Upon personal inspection these all appear to have been replaced with new replacement all steel pieces. The bed is in fantastic shape. The inside of the bed is great. There is a very nice hard tonneau cover on the bed. There is one spot at the front of one of the bed rails where there is a degrading of wood at the end of a board. The cab shows evidence of older repair at the lower back cab corners. No rot, just a few bubbles as shown in the picture. The paint is not perfect but nice. The roof is in grey primer. The door sills, channels and hinges are solid, The doors open and close and latch nicely. The floors are solid and appear to have been replaced at an earlier time. Please look at the floor picture where the vinyl pad is lifted and the undercarriage photo as well. The chrome grille is in excellent condition as well as the bumper. Nice and shiny. All the gauges work nicely and are accented by a very nice billet panel. Oil pressure is great, voltmeter works perfectly, tach works well as does fuel gauge. Engine fires right up and runs smoothly. There is a very slight exhaust leak on the donut gasket at the connection of the manifold to the pipe. Engine oil and filter have just been changed, new points and condenser and new fuel filters just installed and two barrel ford carburetor just dialed in. Engine also has a brand new chrome air filter. The heater core is blocked off and the water outlets are in a closed loop. The air blower works fine. There is no power steering. The steering box has a little play from use over the years. The rear windows and front wing widows have older glass etching done on them. The rear window has an artists rendering of this truck with Ford F100 written under it. The wing windows have an owl figure etched on them. Wing windows are easily replacable if this is an issue. All the lighting on the truck works great. Headlights high and low beam, taillights, brake lights, all four turn signals, license plate light, everything. There is an older AM/FM radio in the truck. The exhaust is true dual with glass packs and sounds great. It has a nice healthy crack when you get on the gas. The motor is tight and fresh. Throttle response is quick. Shifting is solid and positive. I just fired it up on a ten degree day today feb. 3rd and drove it to photograph it on the lift and it started right up in the freezing cold, ran and drove great. The mileage shows 27784 on the odometer. The title states 228900 for the mileage but showes mileage exceeds mechanical limits so I have no verification of the actual mileage on the truck. This however is a very nice truck and shows no evidence of excessive mileage. Much rather a nicely restored vehicle. This is a fantastic opportunity to own a true piece of American Hot Rod Nostalgia. It is a true 50's style American Graffiti style period correct classic cruiser truck at a realisitic and affordable price for a turn key running driving classic truck! This truck is currently PA inspected until the end of June 2011. I have a clean Pennsylvania title in hand for this truck. Spring is almost here and this truck is ready to be enjoyed immediately ! I am an honest ebayer looking to do an honest sale. I have described this classic Ford pickup accurately and completely to the best of my knowledge. Due to the age of the truck it is obviously sold in AS-IS condition with no actual or implied warranty. Come with funds in hand and drive it right home. I would prefer of course a local pick up. If a buyer requests shipping I will be happy to assist with the names and numbers of reliable shippers and will be happy to reasonably assist in the appointment set-up, pick up and loading of the truck. Accepted methods of payment are as follows: funds in hand, Paypal as long as the buyer is willing to accept any additional charges for a transfer of total funds, and if a bank cashier's check is used, it will have to completely clear into the account and funds be made available in hand before the truck and title will be released.
