I am selling this car due to a hip injury that prevents me from driving 5spd cars without really, really paying for it later. I recently sold my UR Quattro and I will also be listing my 98' M3 convertible as I will not be able to drive either anytime in the near future. I purchased this car recently, this past Summer from a friend who was always meticulous about it. I purchased it to use as a daily driver than as a track/club car in Spring, but that is no longer in the cards. 138k miles, alpine white exterior with grey leather interior. Vehicle is in excellent condition throughout. Upon my purchasing the car both myself and several BMW technicians went through it entirely as I work for BMW. There are no signs of any prior accident damage or body work and this was a main reason I purchased it as the car is in excellent condition and has been garaged it's whole life. Also, for people who say this is high mileage, I have to disagree. The car is in amazing condition and it drives better than other M3's I have seen with half the mileage. I also think it will still be running years after my 11' (automatic:() E90 blows up. Exterior: Paint is immaculate. LTW decals are easily removable. I recently replaced all the (six) marker lamps with red/clear lenses instead of the tinted ones. The red clear have a better OEM fit to them, but there are pics of each. I will include the tinted ones as well in the auction. The front lower CF splitters have some wear, but are in good condition. The headamps are glass and equipped with nice xenon low beams. The high beams are traditional beams. The vehicle has legal tints on all glass except front windshield. Interior: The interior is in excellent condition throuout. The drivers seat has minimal wear to the sidebolsters (see pics), but this car is in incredible shape. Chrome/aluminum rings around gauges, optional 3 gauge cluster in colsole, new OEM BMW CD player/receiver, heated manual "Vader" seats, rear sunshade. I installed new BMW OEM control arms in the front, recharged the A/C and replaced a leaking seal (blows ice cold), replaced all fluids per inspection, performed 4 wheel alignment, replaced a weak upper radiator hose, and thats it. Car runs excellent and I do not think it needs anything. It has four RFT (not my favorite, but not cheap) Bridgestone tires w/approx 90% tread on them too- proper staggered setup Bridgestone 255/35R18 RE050A rears and 225/40R18 fronts. New Bilstein suspension, zero rubbing or issues. Rims are excellent- no bends, phenominal condition. Engine has headers, larger injectors, nice CAI, and the nicest exhaust I have heard on an E36. All windows, incl rear pop outs, and sunroof function smooth and perfect. Comes with two BMW remotes for alarm and door lock operation. I have sat in 90+degree Summer days in bumper to bumper traffic with no issues as well as letting car sit for a few weeks and it always fires right up so I see no electrical problems. I have received feedback that there are tons of M3's out there for 8k and I agree. This is not an 8k car. I have set the reserve for a very reasonable amount. To spend 8k on a car that will need thousands in comming years versus this one is a no brainer to me. I really think that the winner of this auction will be extremely happy! THIS IS NOT CORRECT, I REGISTERED THE CAR WITH APPROX 137K AND THE MILEAGE HAS NOT BEEN ALTERED. THEY MUST HAVE ENTERED A 5 INSTEAD OF A 3. I WILL PROVIDE PROOF OF THIS FROM THE CT DMV AS THEY MUST HAVE INPUTED THE WRONG #S. I HAVE ALL THE PAPWER WORK TO SUPPORT THIS AND WILL INCLUDE PROOF FROM THE CT DMV IN WRITING STATING THIS.
