1996 Ford Taurus LX Station Wagon (White and Gray) V.I.N. 1FALP58SXTG158942 California license plate number 3SSV565 3.0 liter V-6 DOHC engine, (EFI) electronic fuel injection, automatic overdrive transmission, power steering, anti-lock four wheel disc brakes, power windows, power door locks, power mirrors, air conditioning, AM-FM cassette stereo, cruise control, leather interior, cargo security shade, carpeted floor mats and dual air bags which have never been deployed. This listing automatically added a Sunroof, which I cannot delete, and the car DOES NOT HAVE A SUNROOF~!!!!! This car was owned by my uncle since about 1997 or 1998. He was the second owner and purchased it at Wegge Motors in Pasadena, California. It was always maintained at Bob Wondries Ford in Alhambra and has had the most recent service performed on October 18th, 2010, when it also got detailed by them. During the inspection, the oil and filter were changed and the brakes were inspected. The brakes and tires are fine and did not require any service or replacement at this time. Brakes (both front and rear) were found to be at 8 mm according to the mechanic. Tire tread depth, according to the Wondries Ford receipt, is 8/32”. The air cleaner element was replaced as were the wiper blades. Being a front wheel drive car, the right front axle boot was torn, so the entire axle assembly was replaced. The left side was fine. The car runs and drives just fine with no apparent problems other than the power radio antenna is broken, but the radio still works. The outside passenger mirror glass is cracked and a replacement could not be found. The spare tire is missing and nowhere to be found, but the jack is there. All options work on the car like the power windows, mirrors, door locks, etc. The auto-dimming headlights work as well. At the time of the service, the odometer had 83,993 miles on it. It currently has just over 84,000 miles and is rarely driven. The battery was also recently replaced with a 72 month version and the warranty receipt will be included in the sale, as well as all the service records we have available. This car was never in an accident and has all the original paint. There are, however, many scratches around the vehicle as well as a dent in the left front fender about the size of a softball. Since the car is not in my name, but I am the power of attorney and executor for the trust, the buyer will have to accompany me to Auto Club for paperwork transfer and pay the appropriate California State Sales Tax and licensing fees.
