Vehicle Detail

For sale is a 1972 Pontiac GTO with the WK code 400cid engine, and an M20 4 speed transmission VIN 2D37T2P116583. This car is one of 5673 GTO,s built in 72’ and one of only 1519 4 speed cars. It has 76,823 original miles, and runs and drives remarkably well! The previous owner drove and enjoyed this car for the last 11,323 miles over the past 18 years. The car appears to be exceptionally original, and we were able to confirm the following items: Carburetor Q-Jet # 7042263 dated 2681 Heads 7K3 dated I081 and I291 Block code WK casting #481988 date code unknown Exhaust Manifolds #(unknown) dated I281 and I221 Intake Manifold #485912 dated I201 We were unable to view the transmission and rear codes. The car is an original code Z / 65 Sundance Orange exterior and code 276 Black interior with bucket seats, a console, Tilt-Wheel, Factory Air Conditioning (removed but included), and Power Steering. The car also received what appears to be a dealer installed UPC code A02 Air Foil (71’ Judge Wing). We have receipts for the following repairs: New Power Steering Pump New Ball Joints New Wheel Cylinders New HD KYB shocks New Brakes, with New Brake Hoses, and Brake Hardware New Drums New Control arm Bushings New Energy Bushings Front end Alignment Oil Changes and Miscellaneous parts. The current condition of the is as follows: The engine runs great, the transmission shifts without any problems. The breaks are highway ready. The tires are good and have plenty of tread, and all of the required lights are working. The condensation coil and fan housing is currently out of the car, but included in the sale, along with all of the AC equipment. In short, the car has no heat, so a long drive home may be a bit chilly, but very possible. Moreover, this is truly a car that can be driven, enjoyed and improved at the same time. As far as the body goes, the car needs a few patches, and some bodywork to address a few burses the car received over the years. The only metal work required is in the lower rear fenders, and rear quarters. Look at the photos and you will see where the previous owner added small sections of metal. The rest of the body is rust free. The Cowl, Floor Pans, Rockers, Trunk Pan, and Drop-offs are all good condition, and need no attention. The interior is showing its age, but a little improvement would go a long way. The rear seat and the rear side panels are in good shape. New door panels, carpet, and a new drivers seat cover, would wake up the interior. The dash has a few issues, but is driver quality along with the console. We have tried our best to describe the car accurately, please feel free to ask any question you may have. The reserve is very reasonable, and will not be disclosed! The car is for sale locally, and we reserve the right to end the auction at any time for any reason. Make all CASH in hand offers known! Happy Bidding! On Jan-31-11 at 08:01:36 PST, seller added the following information:Just incase anyone knows where one can be found. I’m looking for a1970 GTO Convertible Project car!
