You are looking at a 1983 Mercedes 500 SL Euro version. This car was imported in 1983 and has been updated to meet all US Safety & Emission requirements. I have owned this car for 5 years and have constantly upgraded the car to the point of excellence. This is a car for the person who is looking for a classic roadster that in 1 year will be a true antique. VIN#WDB10704612002278. The car is rust free, painted and clear coated 4 years ago in Mercedes popular Smoke Silver with a contrasting dark red/maroon interior. The exterior is totally unmarked with no chips or dents anywhere. The interior has all new carpet and the seats are in excellent condition with no rips or tears. The dashboard is perfect with no cracks or imperfections. All of the instruments and controls are working, the speedometer shows 113,000 miles which Carfax shows is correct. The car interior is highlighted with custom wood finish on the doors and an expensive Nardi wood rimmed steering wheel. There is no hardtop, but the convertible top is perfect with a brand new maroon high quality German canvas top. New rubber seals have been installed on the doors, the convertible top header, and the convertible top cover lid, an aftermarket AM/FM/CD radio is installed which sounds great. The interior of the trunk is like brand new. The engine runs strong and powerful and idles smoothly at the correct RPM, a brand new timing chain and guides were installed recently, also a brand new radiator, a new thermostat, hoses, and belts. All of the drive train and suspension is in good condition, the transmission shifts flawlessly. The brakes have all been rebuilt with new calipers and pads, and a new power brake booser has been installed. Four (4) late model Mercedes 16 inch wheels are installed with new tires that have only minimal wear, the spare is also the same type wheel with an excellent tire. The A/C has been upgraded to 134A type freon, with new compressor, hoses, seals, and expansion valve. This is an outstanding car and in its condition has a 2011 NADA/CPI average book value or $14,525. I will sell this car for considerably less than that.
