CONTACT JEFF AT 570 977 0741. Up for sale is an all original barn fresh 1940 Nash Ambassador four door sedan. Vehicle still has the original paint and is 100% stock original. The seats appear to have been reupholstered and the bumpers replated sometime along the line. The odometer shows 83,496 original miles on the car, and the windshield has a 1976 inspection sticker. The brakes will need attention. If the brakes worked this would be a running driving car as it starts right up runs very well and has a strong clutch. it is equipped with an overhead valve inline six cylinder engine with dual ignition which has 2 coils and 12 spark plugs. Engine runs quietly and does not smoke. Body is amazingly solid for a northeast car. There is a dent on the passenger side rear fender as shown in the picture. Patina is real and not recreated. In addition to a couple of small rust spots above the running board visible in the pictures, the driver's floor has about an eight inch by 1/2 inch spot to be repaired. Plastic horn button and dash inserts are deteriorated from heat and age. Car is well equipped with a heater, radio and clock. Unique body lines include kind of a Willys / Studebaker front end, hash marks on rear of front fenders, and ribs running down trunk and rear fender. Original keys operate steering column ignition switch with lock, passenger door and truck lid. This car is a great solid platform for a restoration, rat rod or street rod and is affordably priced.
