CONTACT JEFF AT 570 977 0741. This is a fantastic opportunity to own a distinctively original piece of true American history and nostalgia from the late 1950's of American classic automobiles. Up for sale and your bidding is a 1959 Ford Thunderbird as found after being stored for 7 years. Only minor work and cleanup was necessary to make this car a nice running, shifting and driving vehicle in very presentable original condition. No armorall or rattle can spray paint was used as a dress-up here. This car is factory original down to the original motor and drivetrain, original interior and factory black paint. It is really a fantastic rare find in this condition. This Thunderbird is equipped with the original 352 c.i. V8 engine, automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, and WORKING POWER WINDOWS ! The gas tank was drained and refilled with fresh gas. The brake system was bled and the brakes are fully operational. The oil and filter was changed. New spark plugs, points and condenser was installed. The engine bay is clean with absolutely no modifications to engine or wiring. The engine has the original Autolite 4-Barrel carburetor with the tag which has been freshened up with a rebuild kit and cleaning. This is a turn key driver, that runs and drives just fine but would need new tires for frequent use. The tires are older. The wipers, horn and radio are currently not working. The heater blows nice hot air. The interior is in very nice shape considering the age. The padded dash is not cracked. The seats are very nice. The headliner is intact and has one hole above the passenger seat. The door panels are intact but will need a little attention. The exhaust pipes are solid but the mufflers will need to be replaced. The original jack is in the truck but the spare tire is missing. The left quarter panel has a spot at the top near the fin that appears to have had some minor work to repair a scrape. There is very minor rust starting at the lower rocker panels and the passenger side floor. The car is otherwise rust free and in amazing condition considering it is from the northeast. The odometer shows 40073 miles on it. Although I cannot verify that this is original mileage, the overall appearance of the car, condition of the dash and seats and body and undercarriage absolutely leads to the belief that this is actual mileage. Look at the picture of the driver's seat. That is easily the seat of a 40000 mile car. This is an untouched, unmolested, original vehicle that would make a great original driver, or provide an excellent platform for a restoration, or kool kustom project.
