Vehicle Detail

Hello folks! I have here up for auction today an original 1968 Chevrolet C-10 3-speed on the column! It has the original 307 V-8 engine in it and the rear-end is geared at 3.73! This is a pretty nice little truck. It is a daily driver that is just real fun to drive! The engine runs good and the 3-speed transmission works fine. It has a see-through fuel filter that is really good so you can see that the filter is doing its job. My dad put electronic ignition in it around 2005. It has the original 2-barrel carb. The power steering works fine. The rear-end leaks a couple drops of oil right after you drive it a ways. It has a very sturdy tow-package installed in the rear. It has drum (power) brakes in the front and rear. I removed all the wheels a couple of months ago and discovered the brake shoes are in fine shape. It has about 5000 miles on the white-lettered tires. My dad had the original bench seat re-upholstered around 2005, in a real nice blue fabric. It does have the two original lapbelts. The facing on the drivers side belt latch is missing, but it does latch. The AM radio does not work. The cigarete lighter does not work. The dome-light lens is missing, but the dome-light does work. The sun visors are blue and in great shape. The glass is in good shape all the way around. I installed some really cool original-style stainless steel side mirrors a year ago. It has four very small holes showing in both doors where the original mirrors were located. There are a few dents, dings, scrapes, rusty spots and the occasional patch of bondo showing here and there, (see pictures) but all in all it is a fairly rare and desireable specimen. I bought this truck from my dad in 2006 and it has been driven by me and my dad, here and there for the last few years. I drove it to Pismo Beach and back, in September of last year and it did real good and it has only been driven a few miles around Bakersfield the last four months. I really like this truck but I don't drive it much here lately and need to get a savings account going anyway. I know that whoever gets this truck will love it and have a lot of fun working with it.On Feb-02-11 at 07:53:22 PST, seller added the following information: Hey folks I forgot to add that everyone is welcome to come and see the truck in person and kick the tires and stuff. One gentlmen checked it out a day ago and looked quite pleased. He said the pictures did not do it justice. I told him I probably need to take some lessons in photography!
