I think this might  be the cleanest Mercedes 300TD turbo diesel wagon out there today . It has been a 1 owner California car up until just a few weeks ago . It has been pampered from day one and it really shows . The stunning color combination of midnight blue with tan interior gets compliments every day . You can not drive one day without getting the thumbs up or people asking you about this car . It really sticks out and is not your average 27 year old car . The body is super straight and the paint still has incredible shine to it . All the chrome is in excellent condition . All the seals and moldings around windows and doors are extremely nice . The interior looks like it is only one year old and not 27 . Even the original dashboard is perfect and free of cracks . The wood is very nice and the carpets are clean . All the door panels and the headliner are in excellent condition as well . It is hard to believe , those seats are 27 years old . The palomino color MB-tex held up wonderful . There are no rips or tears at all .  This car has always been maintained by Mercedes Benz of Oakland /CA . Whenever this car needed anything , it was always attended to right away . There is no deferred maintenance of any kind . In the end of my listing i copied in a page of the Carfax , where it just shows the maintenance records for the last few years . Just to give you an idea . This car does not need anything . Everything works well .  Air-conditioning - blows cold from all the vents  Power door locks - work perfectly Cruise control -works original radio -works all windows- work fine  shocks for tailgate - recently replaced  tires - less than 1500 miles on them  all instruments- work the way they should  power antenna - works fine  I just listed a few things , which are common to often not function properly , to make the point , that really everything works on this car . I  recently took it on a 500 mile trip . I was constantly cruising between 85-90 miles per hour . ( i can show you the speeding ticket to prove it ) This car is truly fun to drive long distance or even in town . On the freeway it feels very solid at high speeds and also in town it is not slow at all . It shifts wonderful and i can not think of anything it needs .  This car is a wonderful reminder at a time , when Automobiles were built to last you a lifetime and not just until the next model year comes along . When engineering them was done with the idea to built the best car possible and not just "what can we sell with the biggest profit" .  This car would be perfect for a collector , since there are not to many around in this condition anymore . It would also serve very well as an every day driver . With only 158k miles it is barely broken in and with the right maintenance should go for another 300k miles before even needing a valve job .  If you can , please have a look at this car BEFORE placing a bid . I will make myself available and gladly show it to anybody seriously interested . You are also very welcome to have you mechanic check it out . I am sure , he will be impressed . If you are not local , i will gladly pick you up from LAX airport or help with shipping arrangements . Please do ask all questions BEFORE placing a bid and please do have your finances in order . I am personally very impressed with this car and any reasonable person should be as well .
