Vehicle Detail

An Arizona original. Purchased new at the Jack Ross Lincoln Mercury dealer in Mesa Arizona. Not a spec of rust. Never wrecked or even dented. This is a clean driver. I will tell you what I know to the best of my knowledge. I purchased the car because I had sold my black 73 Lincoln the year before and wanted another one. Well now I am moving----3 kids off to college and moved out so we are down sizing------smaller garage----no more acre and half to park cars. This Lincoln is a sharp looking car. It is original. Paints in good shape and cleans up very well. A buff would make it shine like new. You don't need to repaint it. The interior is good as well. No sag in healiner. Seats are in great shape. The electric windows work fine. The electric seat works fine. It has dual side mirrors---they work---I snapped the lever for the passenger side but it works fine. It has an 8 track am/fm stereo. The 8 track works fine and I have a half dozen tapes to go with it---nothing special. The electric antenna works fine. The trunk is carpeted and is in great shape. The car had new tires put on it----so many of these older cars have cracked tires because they aren't used and sit in the sun. These tires are great. The car has recieved good maintenance. The radiator has been flushed with the hoses and belts replaced. The brakes are good. The a/c compressor is good and operates fine---blower works for a/c and heat. It runs out very well. Starts up good. Carburator is good---not gummed up. Smooth idle. Shifts smooth. Cruise control works. Rides down the road like a boat floating on the clouds. And it will move if you want to floor it. It has great curb appeal. Color combination is sharp and gets the compliments when out on Sundays and to car shows. All in all it's a good find that will be dependable. With that being said let me go through what I know it may need or what one may call negative. This is an Arizona car and the previous owner had parked it in the driveway-----so the sun has faded the top of the back seat. The seat top is intact, it is not dry, it could be sprayed to match, it is soft and smooth just a lighter color from the sun. There is a wear spot on the carpet where the drivers left foot rubbed. It is small and not to bad. The carpet could be easily repaired and not need replacing. Color is good. The sun got to the dash. It has a couple cracks. These can be redone or dash matt----it's not bad so I just leave it as it. The vynyl top has some dry cracks around the rear window---you have to get close to look at them. I tried to charge the a/c because it was a little low----my gauges leaked so I lost a pound of freon. I may run it up to the garage and have it charged---but I have freon R-12 to go with it. The a/c works. I had taken it to a quarter wash and sprayed off the engine and after that the passenger rear interior light stayed on----so I just popped the bulb out---I have a quick release on the positive battery connection----I always disconnect the battery on my cars when I park them, just like they do in the museums----seemed like a good idea. Like I said at first this is a real clean dependable driver. All the systems work on it. It hasn't been wrecked and not even dented. There are some bug specs on the front grill paint area, but the paint all in all is real good----with a buff it would really shine like new---but just a car wash and it shines great. I think that should just about give you the whole story. I am setting the reserve at 2,500 to move it. Call john 480-220-3032 with questions. You are welcome to come look at the car or send someone to look at it for you. I will expect buyer to pay for the vehicle before it is released. By pay I mean: cash, wire transfer, or certified cashier check. If buyer needs to pay by certified cashier check, then the car will be held until it has completely cleared. I have had freinds who have been scammed. Cash is easiest if you plan to pick it up, otherwise wire transfer is the simplest for out of state or out of the country. Also for sale: 1961 Cadillac Flat top , 1986 Town car 43k orig miles, 1996 SVT Cobra Mustang Convertible 38k orig miles, 1991 Jeep Grand Wagoneer--NICE, 1986 Rolls Royce Corniche Convertible
