1983 AMC Eagle wagon. I had this car brought to New Hampshire from Oregon about 6 years ago. There is no rot underneath. The only rust spots I've found are on the exterior body where the paint had been chipped here and there. These spots are pictured. The car has not been used much in the last couple of years and WILL need work to be reliable on the road. The front brake rotors are rusty from not being driven. The parking brake cables are binding and will most likely be stuck if you use the parking brake. The exhaust is leaking at the donut where the pipe joins the manifold. It will be time for a radiator & water pump soon. The transmission is not operating properly. It feels like sometimes it skips second gear and goes from first to third. Sometimes when idling in gear the torque converter locks up and stalls the motor. Tranny is also leaky around selector shaft when it feels like it. The motor itself runs good and has new plugs, cap, rotor, coil & battery. The carburetor has been converted to a motocraft 2 bbl. The interior is original & worn. The heat & AC work. The power windows work but the rear ones come off the tracks sometimes. The tires are Coopers are are in ok shape. This should be regarded as a project car that will need significant work to be road ready. I would NOT recommend driving this home or on the road at all until it is thoroughly gone over. The best feature is the lack of body damage and rust. There are some extra used parts to go with the car. Door handles, hinges, tail lamps, arm rests. I am not interested in trades, I have too many vehicles as it is and no time to work on them. I am not willing to deliver this car. I will be available to help you or your shipper load it. You are encouraged to come see the car in person if you are close enough to do so. It is in my garage on a lift. I am sure I have forgot something so ask questions please. This is a 28 year old car and is not new or in perfect condition. It does need work and there is no waranty. New Hampshire does not require a title for cars this old. Car will come with a bill of sale & a copy of current registration. NO RESERVE AUCTION 1/30/11 I have been asked by a few people how long I can hold the car here after the auction ends so here's the deal. If you win the auction I can hold the car for up to 30 days with no problem. If after 30 days the car is still here and I have not heard from you and agreed to more time your deposit will be forfeited and the car relisted. Thank You, Rich
