RARE!90% Restored 72Gran Torino Sport.$16,000 invested with no corners cut!This car came to me completely disambled ready to be restored.I was suprized after running the #'s that this car is rare and highly desirable.This is a true Gran Torino Sport Cobrajet with the original 351cobrajet and automatic C-6 transmission with stock factory 3500 stall converter!I've had a lot of fun researching and restoring this magnicant machine.Lot'a love,time and money has gone into it over the last 6 years but I believe it was worthit.Just towing it to storage it was quiet the head turner just pulling it out to take pictures,cars were pulling over to check it out.This car has ZERO miles on a completely restored drivetrane.The motor was bored over .0030\balanced with 9.8 comp pistons, block decked and mated to milled heads with 3angle valve job.stainless steel valves.,performane valve springs keep the valves from floating at high rpm Finished motor has 10.1 compression.The motor is 4-bolt main with high tens rod bolts high pressure oil pump 80 to 90 lbs pressure.Petronix II electronic ignition to keep points from burningup.It has a750cfm holley motor craft carb on it now but have the original 4300D carb that came with it.The carb was mated to the special spreadbore intake this is the same motor they installed in all of Detamoso Panteras..Transmission was built up strong with orig 3500 stall.Drive shaft was balanced.Original 28 spline 325 rearend.330hp+expected!This is a fast/strong and dependable motor with very little maintenance.The frame and drive train and engine compartment, brake drums were painted with Por-15.They will never rust!!The car was undercoatedand painted BrightRED 4 coats and color sanded single stage.New black vinyl top with new white upholstery.It does need dual exhaust carmake it sound the way you like it.Could use new tires and wheels.It also needs a liittle TLC on interior.Unhappy with the way the lazer stripes went on so have a new set that go with it.Bumpers and some chrome accents could be rechromed.This car has zero miles on the restoration it hasn't seen the daylight more than 15min. IT is that new !!I have drove it around the block or two and I can say its scarey fast!This car is all numbers correct/original paint\ interior colors.new carpet.On Jan-24-11 at 04:19:49 PST, seller added the following information: This is the first time for me to sell on E-bay.I stated that the stall converter was a factory 3500 stall but instead it is a factory 3000,part#D2OZ-7902-A stamped #67.Also I boosted the cam with more duration,improving operating range to 5500rpm instead of stock 4800rpm without making the car have a rough idle!The car also has insulated interior,with a vapor,heat reflector material in doors,side panels, roof,rear deck.The rear deck was covered with speaker cloth to hide speakers.Too many extras to list!Good core bumpers,front and back,dent free come with the car.Sorenson stainless steel core plug wires fom that era,brand new.Original upper radiator hose with factory stamping,new never intsalled!Lots more parts come with the car.The clock also works in dash!More information available upon request.
