You are bidding on a very nice old original 1982 (yes, 29 years old) Chrysler Fifth Avenue 4-door sedan that has 55,703 original miles on it. It runs and drives nicely, and it has a brand new battery. The interior is in outstanding condition. The tires are original and in excellent condition. We are old (pushing 80) and it is time to sell some of our low mileage original cars. We have collected original low mileage cars for many years, but we can't keep up with them any longer. It is impossible for us to get up and down on the ground to do any repairs or general maintenance. We are setting very low reserve and Buy-It-Now prices and hope that somebody out there will want our car. There is no rust on the car. There is only one problem with the car, and that is the brakes are not working--the brake pedal goes all the way to the floor. We just paid somebody to come to our home and put on all new brake lines (both the metal lines and rubber parts) and he couldn't get the brakes to work. We feel that the problem is that he didn't bleed the lines properly, and we are unable to do it ourselves, so we are selling it as is. We are located about 65 miles SW of Chicago. The winner of the auction will pay a non-refundable down payment of $300 in PayPal and the remainder in cash when the car is picked up. Otherwise, you may send a cashier's check if you intend to ship the car, but we won't release it until the cashier's check clears your bank. The buyer will make all shipping arrangements.
