This car came out of a local salvage yard where it has been parked since 1974. Being a Imperial fanatic, I have tried for the last 25 years to buy it but always got the same answer from the owner "not for sale". Finally, in the name of progress, the yard was forced out of business to make way for a water treatment plant and I was finally able to buy the car. I already have 3 60's so the goal was not to aquire another one but to save it from being used as a demo derby car. I have never seen another Lebaron ( I'm sure there are some) that is totally loaded with ALL the options. It has cruise, MIRRORMATIC, power front SWIVEL seat, front and rear air, dual mirrors, power antenna, power locks, Silvercrest roof inserts,power windows and power vent windows. The ony thing I can see missing is the jack and the hubcaps. Sadly, from sitting, the motor has seized. We do get a very slight movement from the crankshaft but I am assuming there is a stuck piston. This would make an awesome parts car to fully trick out an existing Crown or Custom or would make a great but ambitious restoration project. Over all, the chrome is pretty decent since ithas not been on the road for so many years. One tail light is broken and the other is "milky". Grille and side grilles have no broken areas. The left rear door was replaced at one time and there is rust starting on the botttoms of the rear quarters. Frame appears to be rock solid. All the glass is good Including the windshield! There is the typical rust on the rear bumper where the brackets attach anad if you know these cars, you know the areas I am refering to. Car is a good roller so can easily be winched onto a trailer or transport. Good clean Colorado title! Normally I require cars be picked up in 30 days but because of the time of year, will hold it for a reasonable time till spring in our storage lot. I have pictured the bottoms of both quarters as well as the hole in the passenger side fender. The tunk is amazingly solid with worst part being on the drivers side year the mount, also pictured. I pulled up the weather strip along the trunk and there are various rust holes in that area. I MAY, have a good section and If I do, it will be cut out and given to the buyer of this car.
