Vehicle Detail
This auction is for my 1968 Dodge Charger R/T. This is a True R/T with clear Ohio title in hand. I will not end this auction early and the car is not for sale locally. This is a factory B5 blue 440 powered Charger. The black vinal top is factory and it has a Torqueflite auto trans. The rear is a 8 3/4 323 gear. I have owned and worked on numerous Chargers and B bodies over the years so I know what to look for and what to look out for. The underside of this car is dirty but very solid and needing very little work. The trunk pan will need replaced. The frame rails, torque boxes, suspension, cam bolts and inner fenders are all in super nice condition. This car does not need floor pans from what I can see and you can see in the pics. The paint is 90% original B5 Blue with the exception of the drivers side quarter and drivers door. The drivers door was removed from a white Charger. The front windshield will need replaced. 100% of the trim and emblems are on the car. There is no gas tank but the straps and fill neck are included. Also, the hood hindges are not on the car but included. As for the engine, it is a 1974 440. The engine cranks over when you turn the key but does not start. I did a check for spark and it isnt getting any. This is a points system so I am sure that will need looked at. (The batt. is not included with this sale; sorry, its not mine) The interior of the car is mostly complete. Seats, belts, headliner, door panels are all in place. There are a few things missing from the dash like the radio. The headlights work both high and low. One tail light and one side marker light need a bulb. The wipers work, the horn blows but sounds sick and the heater fan blows on all speeds. I do have the 4th Magnum rim, it had a flat so i took it off to haul the car home. This car has been inside stored since 1988. I am the 4th owner and the body has just over 130,000 miles on it. Please don't ask for more pics and please don't ask for every casting # on the car. You are more then welcome to come see the car in person. I simply don't have the time to spend on it. If you have any questions, you can text or call me at 937-935-6178. Texts are best so I don't go over on min.'s. Thanks for taking time to look at the car, Shane. I require a $200. deposit pay-pal at the end of the auction and payment in full and car picked up 2 weeks from auction end. I would like cash if you come in person. If you are useing a shipper, you can bank transfer the money or send a bank draft. Please people, if you bid and win, be a man and finish the deal. It cost me money and time to relist. I have been a seller and a buyer on e-bay and i have had both good and bad experiences. I am honest and would like the same in return. On Jan-16-11 at 13:51:22 PST, seller added the following information: If you have "0" feedback, DO NOT bid. Your bid will be deleted. On Jan-21-11 at 08:46:32 PST, seller added the following information: IMPORTANT: I found the fender tag in the bottom of the battery tray. I have had several calls about the fender tag. The original screws that held it on were in the holes but the tag was not there. Yesterday, after looking under the seats and all around under the hood, I found it in really bad shape in the bottom of the battery tray. I took it to work and tried to clean it as best as I could. I can't add a pic of it because I am at my limit on pics but I can text a pic of it to you. It is important to note that the entire lower right side of the tag is gone. This is the portion that has the actual vin number of the car on it. Because of this, I can't verify that this is the actual original tag; however, I decoded it and it makes sense that it would be original. This is the decoded information...Dodge Charger R/T 2 door Sports Hardtop.....440 cid 4-bbl HP V8.....3 Speed Automatic......F70x14 White Sidewall, steel belted....1968..march 2..3.23 Rear Axle Ratio.....Charger Trim Grade, Vinyl Bucket Seats. Black....Drip Rail Moldings...Body Belt Moldings...Wheel Lip Moldings. This is all the information I could get. Hope this helps. The tag is still on the rear end and it says 3.23. Also, the 440 DOES say H.P. on the top pad, I have had several questions also about that.
