Finished in Dark Gray…this 49’ Chevy shows very well! We acquired this vehicle from the estate of a large automobile collector in Southern Wisconsin. According to his family, the car received a FULL “FRAME-OFF” Restoration in 2005! And as you can see from all the pictures, it still shows very well today! In 2005, they removed all the chrome, removed the old finish, and repainted the car back to it’s original Dark Gray! At the same time, they also removed the original motor and transmission, and had it rebuilt! Not to mention, they completely removed the interior and had it replaced along with all the glass except the rear window. Now…the only thing that would keep this Car from winning every show would be the paint work. It looks good from about 10-15 feet; however, up close you will see some light sand marks and orange peel in the paint. However, if you’re looking for a car that won’t cost you $30,000, but is a very reliable car that you can jump in, drive anywhere, and turn heads at every stop…THIS IS YOUR CAR!!! After her death, Jim decided to retire from the business and turn it over to his son John. John then retired from Teaching and went into the business full time. In 1997 John's son Jim came to work for the family business. John's other son Jon Jr. Came to work for the business in 2001.
