For Sale 1979 AMC Jeep CJ5 Complete fiberglass body, hood, fenders and windshield. Clean glass, original steel grille. Strong 6-cylinder 258 cid with electronic ignition, high output alternator, new fuel pump, new starter, and an a brand new Motorcraft 2-barrel carburetor conversion with manual choke. New spark plugs, wires, cap, distributor rotor, coil, and proper timing. This Jeep runs absolutely great! Starts up quickly - even below 30 degrees. I have receipts for all. Radiator is in excellent condition, new hoses, and runs at a perfect 180 to 190 degrees. Engine rebuilt within last 4,000 miles, however I cannot produce proof from the previous Canadian owner. Runs great, smooth and clean. You can see new gaskets top and bottom. Original AMC Jeep engine spec stickers still on the front frame next to the radiator. Rebuilt rear end with new differential bearings, new seals, new heavy duty one-piece axles, new brakes, new brake hardware, new brake hubs, heavy duty driveshaft sealed u-joints and more. I have receipts for all. Rebuilt front end with new differential bearings, new seals, new axle u-joints, new bearings (inner, outer and hub), new front disc brake calipers, brake pads, new brake lines and new master cylinder. New heavy duty front locking hubs. I have receipts for all. 3-speed transmission has been serviced, drained and lubed. No shifting problems both in the transfer case, 2-high, 4-high and 4-low. New clutch installed by previous owner - shifts fine, grabs great. No receipts to prove. Power steering with steering stabilizer. Front 6 degree shims installed on axle to correct Caster on lifted Jeep. Wanders a bit - Front steering box needs adjustment or replacement at some point. Stainless steel dashboard with new AMC Jeep dashpad. Rewired most of the dash, very clean and gauges are functional with the exception of the fuel gauge. Brand new oil pressure sensor, new voltage sensor, new Tachometer w/shift light. New LED lights installed inside the speedometer. Looks great at night. All dash lights work too. Heater and fan work - no leaks, new hoses. 3 sets of halogen lights with proper auxiliary wiring, new halogen hi/low headlights, new front left and right turn signal lights, with new lenses. Center console wired with 12volt for spotlight or accessory. 3 inch suspension lift with brand new shocks, new axle u-bolts, new front and rear heavy duty shackles. Tow bar, chains and lights included in the deal. You can hook the tow bar up to the front shackles, hook up the lights and tow this Jeep anywhere. Five brand new 35x12.5x15 tires (spare matches) with brand new 15 inch chrome rims. Less than 300 miles on these tires. Custom rear spare mount welded to the rear frame. Heavy duty bumper with trailer hitch for small utility trailer and safety chain connection. LP10000 Superwinch with remote. Welded and bolted to the frame. Works great! New custom upholstered front and rear seats. High back for comfort and more stable seating. They look and feel great. Seat belts front and rear for 4 people. New carpeting from front to back. Grant Steering wheel with operating horn. Sony Cd stereo with 6 speaker’s front and back. The paint on this Jeep looks great – but it’s not perfect. It has some small chips, and some areas of spider-webbing. There are some spots the paint does not match either. It’s a real head turner, does great at the car shows, but keep in mind – it’s 32 years old. High quality Lebra Front hood and fender covers. Clean, no tears, shines well. This front cover does hide some of the spider-webbing and paint chipping on the very front of the hood. If you purchase the vehicle in Texas – you can transfer the 79CJ5 custom classic plates in your name. A nice touch – people love it. Out of state buyers - you will be purchasing without plates.
