This is a unique truck, 2003 Chevrolet Suburban 2500 with a DURAMAX DIESEL engine and ALLISON FIVE SPEED automatic transmission. It is 3/4 ton, four wheel drive. The engine is a 2005 LLY Duramax with a variable geometry turbo. The conversion was done by A+ Truck Repair in Denver, and everything that pertains to the conversion looks like it was done from the factory. We took the vehicle to the state motor vehicle department and had it inspected for the engine swap, and it passed with flying colors. We also had an emissions check done and it also passed that with flying colors. The Suburban has 174,000 miles on it but the engine and transmission have only 90,000 on them. The Suburban is fully loaded with nearly all the options you can think of. It has heated leather seats, power front seats with lumbar, power windows, power door locks, power heated mirrors that adjust when you back up, captains chairs in both front and second row and a bench for the third row. It has Onstar, XM radio, automatic digital dual climate control, air conditioning, rear air conditioning with it's own controls, steering wheel controls, adjustable pedals, cruise control, aftermarket rear TV/DVD player, rear radio controls, the Bose sound system, built in garage door opener, and automatic headlights. We also incorporated the instrument cluster from the Duramax into the Suburban and all gauges and lights function as they should. The Suburban has the 8 lug drive train with 3.73 gears. It also has four wheel disc brakes and locking rear differential. The Duramax engine runs real nice and looks like it was made that way from the factory, The Allison transmission shifts perfectly. The four wheel drive works great. It has a new radiator, transmission cooler, serpentine belt and tensioner. All fluids and filters have been changed. It has two batteries like the diesels came with. The Suburban drives and handles real smooth. It has a three inch body lift that makes it look tougher than all the ordinary Suburbans. There is alot of potential for this truck, you can add tires and wheels, a chip, really the sky and your imagination is the limit. Its like having your cake and eating it too. It's as close to the perfect vehical as possible, with an average MPG of 19 it's economical enough to be your daily driver, you can chauffer the kids to all their activities, pull the boat to the lake, and spank the sports cars, ALL in one luxurious truck.
