Vehicle Detail
Up for Auction is a 1999 Chevy Blazer. Runs Good, 4x4 works great, Hot heat and Cold A/C. Current PA inspection through 4/11. I bought this Blazer a few months ago with a bad rod bearing. Replaced crankshaft, rod bearings, main bearings, and oil pump. It runs good and is in decent shape for it's age and mileage. I've put about 1000 miles on it in the last month without any problems. The Blazer has just under 183k miles on it. I bought it with 182k on it, but when they sent me the title, they put 188k, so I'm selling it as having 188k on it so when the new buyer gets their title it will still be actual mileage. The engine has a new oil pump. Oil pressure is about 50lbs cold. Once the engine reaches temp, the oil pressure is about 10lbs at idle and 22lbs at 2000rpm. I'm not crazy about how much the pressure drops when warm, but specs on the Chevy 4.3L engines are a minimum of 6lbs at idle and 18lbs at 2000 rpm, so it's above the minimums. I took pictures of the different pressure readings and they can be seen below. This Blazer isn't perfect, but should make someone a reliable 4 wheel drive vehicle. We got some snow this morning and this thing went like a champ. There is normal wear and tear on the vehicle consistent with it's age, but it still shines up pretty good. The inside could use a good detailing. The good:New in the last 6 months:crankshaftrod bearingsmain bearingsoil pumpshocksfuel pumpradiator The not so good:Cruise control doesn't workThe doors sag a bit, but still open and close easilyBoth rear doors have some paint chipping on the bottom corners. (see pictures)Could use an alignment (front tires are worn a bit on the inside)Oil pressure drops when engine gets warm (it's still within specs though)Every once in a while, I smell anti-freeze, but don't see any leaks and haven't had to add any coolant. Maybe just the stuff I spilled when pulling the motor. If you live where there are emissions inspection, it's going to need a catalytic converter. Just has a straight pipe in it's place right now. Kelly Blue Book Values:Trade In $2450Private Party $3780Retail $5430 Buy it now = $2100 There is no reserve on this Blazer. The high bidder will own it, so bid early and bid often. I live about 50 miles south of Pittsburgh and if anyone is interested in looking at it and driving it prior to bidding, I would encourage it. If you don't have the money to buy it, please don't bid. Thank You. Vehicle is sold As-Is. It's not perfect, hence the low buy it now price, but it should make someone a good reliable vehicle and when the snow flies you'll be glad you bought it. Thanks for looking and Good Luck! Vehicle is listed for sale locally as well, so may end at any time.
