I have a 1985 Mustang GT 5-speed 302 for sale. I'm the third owner of the car. The orginal owner was the Road manager for Rascal Flatt's. The car sat in a garage for over 11 yrs until the previous owner before me bought it The previous owner did some research and found it to be 10th from the last GT with a sunroof made in 1985. The original color was a gray, When I bought it about a yr ago I had it painted white , installed all new emblems, new rubber molding, door rubber, sunroof rubber, new Black hood decal, new tires, new brake calipers on the front with pads and rotor's, new valve covers, new water pump, new holley 600cfm carb, new 289 performer intake, new radiatior, new starter, new 2.5 inch exhaust and x-pipe with flowmaster 40 series mufflers, new fluids from engine to rearend. The interior is all orginal except for the new dashpad. I have about $6000.00 invested in the car. The car list for over $7500.00 on NADA classic cars quides. Even with the work the car still needs, at the price I'm selling it, there is plenty of room to keep it under its value. The reason I'm selling it, is I lost my job and need the money, my loss your gain.. Its just been sitting in my garage collecting dust. I've only put about 50 miles on it since I've had it, thats just mostly around in my subdivision except for when I took to have the exhaust put on it and have it painted. The things it needs is valve guide seals, I guess from sitting so long it smokes a little. The Transmission needs rebuilt due to the synchronizer's in th 1st and 2nd gear are going out. clutch is in good condition, rear end is in good condition I would trailer or dolly it home due to the transmission acting like it does.. The body has no rust that I've noticed, the car is a southern car from the Panhandle of Florida, the body has some minor little dings and the paint job is not the best. I've taken enough pictures to show the condition of the car. The car is for sale locally in Knoxville, TN and I have the right to end the auction at anytime if is sales locally.
