Vehicle Detail
thanks for looking! 1967 Plymouth Belvedere II convertible being sold. this car currently has a 318 motor, auto transmission, 8 3/4" open rear end. car runs and drives excellent, but does need attention. this car is a 25 footer, original color is dark red poly, current body work and paint job was done years ago. i have used as summer driver for the last 2 years. engine smokes on start up and smoothes out after warm up. it currently has an aluminum 4 bbl holley dual plane intake, 600cfm edelbrock performer carb, new pertronix points eliminator. dual exhaust from the factory manifolds. it does have a small oil leak. the engine is in need of a freshening. this being said, it does get good gas mileage and cruises quite well. 70's air cleaner not included. body has had prior body work and will need some work as the old work is showing through. front drivers frame rail will need repair or replacement. all others are decent. the rear bumper has been damaged (see pics). all the usual lower edges, trunk floor, hood hinge rust is present. will include 67 quarter extensions, rear panel and flip-top gas cap for the car. interior is in really nice shape, it presents well and needs little. tough to crank up 1 rear window. power top is original and will need a replacement as the old window has fallen out of its stitching. boot is there and the original. gauges work, headlights are intermittent. tires are brand new BF Goodrich TA's 225x60x15 with less than 200 miles on them. wheels are American Racing steels. car is a beautiful and seldom seem example of the 1967 mopars. she is well worth the time to restore as i see very few of these around and they drive beautifully. would make a great Satellite/ GTX clone. obviously this is an as-is used car. i will answer all your questions to the best of my ability. On Jan-02-11 at 11:28:48 PST, seller added the following information: update: someone has commented on this having the rear end of a 1966. i am unable to explain how this is. some of the parts still contain its original poly red under the current color. it may have had minor damage early in its life and had some of the superficial rear replaced with 66 parts. i have had this on a lift and did not notice any damage that would have related to a rear end collision. the visible damage to the car on the drivers rear side was done before i got the car and it does not affect its drivability. i had the same questions too. neither I or the past owner know any of the old history of this car. it does drive very well. i am including 2-1967 quarter extensions and partial decklid and decklid insert which i had purchased to return the 1967 look of the rear. the car also has a new stereo and two door speakers which are included in the auction. thanks for the questions... On Jan-07-11 at 16:04:54 PST, seller added the following information: update... i've added 4 pictures of the dash. thanks for all the questions, i'm running out of space for my other 4 mopars, so i hope this goes to someone that can spend some time with her.... i'd love to keep her, but have too many and its time to thin the herd. good luck!
