I have owned this scout for three years now. Spent most of it's life in Arizona being towed behind a motorhome by the original owner. Since I moved it to Georgia, I have only put 3,000 miles on it. When I realized how original it was, I tried not to drive it anymore than necessary. Original owner claimed the mileage is correct, however I have no way of confirming it. Everything appears to have been kept original with no modifications or alterations. It runs well, steering is good and tight, the original exhaust makes it even sound like a factory scout. Everything works- cold air, heater, AM radio, cig lighter, windshield washer and all the lights. The engine is a 304 V-8, two barrel holley carburator, power steering, power brakes, automatic transmission, 4 x 4 with manual front hubs and a two speed transfer case. I have been on a few 200 mile trips averaging over 15 mpg. The exterior has had a second coat of paint at some point in its life. The original owner claimed it was due to fading in the Arizona sun. There is some rust starting to show thru the paint in a few places, along with some scratches, nicks and dings. All of which can be easily touched up or repaired, There is a few slow oil leaks visible, however I have only added 1 quart of oil in three years. This would be a good candidate for a total restore or a daily driver. Good luck.
