Vehicle Detail

Here is an original '65 Rambler American 2 door hardtop, model 440-H. It's got just over 83k miles on it because it hasn't been on the road since 1984! It's been stored inside, so it's still in decent shape. It's got the bigger 232 6 cylinder engine with a floor console-mounted automatic. It also has the bucket seats, so it's pretty sporty for a Rambler! It does run and drive, but currently I'm replacing the steel brake lines with new ones due to rust from sitting. I recently had the radiator rodded and pressure checked. The body is in pretty good shape for 45 years old. The quarters have had rust repair in the past, and would need to be fixed again. They used bondo, so it wasn't a permanent repair. I showed these areas in the pics. Floors are solid, the trunk floor has holes in the rear corner areas as shown, the center area is solid. Doors, fenders, rockers are all solid. Previous owner did a little sanding on the front of the hood, and put the primer on the rt. front fender. The interior is goldish tan, and is in average shape as shown in pictures. Back seat is good, but the front seats have covers on them. The tires have great tread, but are old bias-ply tires, I would change them out before going for any distance. Any questions, feel free to call me at 815-714-4309, Mike The paint code is 11-10-A, which is Montego Rose with a White top. I do not have the bottom trim piece under the grille. There is rust in both rear corners of the trunk floor above the frame rails. A 12"x 8 inch triangle should fix them. I looked closely today, and the rear shock mounts are solid, the right rear frame rail is solid, but the left rear rail is rusted through about 8 inches in length in front of the rear leaf spring perch, fairly easy fix. The miles are original; it was a one-owner car that was parked in a garage in 1984. Ok, a few people have asked about the floors and frame rails; the last 6 pictures show just that, I hope these show what they want. Also there is no evidence anywhere of any accident damage.
