This is a great inexpensive, good looking and driving chevelle, that no one would be ashamed to drive to a cruise show. As most of these rolling bodies are selling for 4-5000, This one can be had for a very reasonable price, And its driver ready. Alot of people like to buy these chevelles and give them their own touches. This car fits that person. The car is a 68 chevelle, with its orginal 307 V-8, no modifications except the addition of hedders and full dual exhaust. The vin number is stamped on the alt pad, along with T0311DF, which is 307/200hp. The engine runs great, It just had a tune up, and runs very smooth, No smoke when started, and idels good. The odometer says 53562, but I cant prove its orginal, But the engine and engine comparment is very clean, and very beliveable that its a low miliage car. The trans was orginally a 2spd power glide, but has been changed out with a turbo 350. It was orginally shifted on the column, but has been changed to a B-M slap shifter with reverse lock out. But Put it in drive, and it goes through all the gears perfict, or pull it back and slap the shifter up to shift the gears, works both ways. The trans looks new, but still acts stock. No shift kits or anything like that. It shifts smooth through all 3 gears. Im assuming the rear gears are somewhere around 2.73-3.08, I didnt check, but I did take the car down the highway at 70mph, and the car sounds like its running under 2100 rpm, not running high rpms at all. Driving the car down the highway is a pleasure with this car, Not by todays standards, but going down the highway, everyone has to give you the thumbs up. But the car handles great in traffic, doesnt shimmy or pull, or sound like its gonna come apart at any time. It has power steering and helps the handling of this car. There is no worries of overheating either, All lights work on this car, turn signals, headlights, tail lights, brakes lights, and reverse. The wipers work also, as does the heater and defrost. Horn also works. All glass is good and has a light tint. The body is very straight, but has some filler in the lower quarters. The car has its orginal quarters, with the repairs being in the lower sections only, which is why the car has great body lines, The only bubbling on this body is a small amount in the driverside rear quarter. The doors fenders hood, trunk lid and rockers are all filler free and very nice. Doors are very nice. The paint is decient on the car, not superior quality, but driver quality. It shines and has nice color. The trunk looks very nice but has been repaired. The floors are very nice except on the passengerside, it has a golf ball size hole under the passenger feet in the front. Easy fix. frame is perfict, and very clean. The interior is nice, the seats were recovered black and are very nice. But the interior color is light green. Door panels are very nice, headliner is also very nice with no rips or holes. Rugs are stained and have a rip on the passengerside, but not noticeable. The dash pad is cracked, and there is a aftermarket radio cut in the dash. All in all its decient interior. and does not need changed right away. All guages are lights, and work, speedometer works, as does the gas guage. Wing windows work good. The chrome is nice, has great shine to it, Grill is perfict, Tires are almost new. Brakes work fine, no pulling when the pedal is applied, All the weatherstripping is new. As I said, This car runs and drives great, needing nothing to hit the cruise sceen right away. It is ready for your personal touches, and many hours of enjoyment.
