Since 1978 stored and garaged in northern Virginia. Now being offered as part of an Estate Sale. Original manuals: Operating, Maintenance, and Service Handbook for the Mark IX model Jaguar MKIX Maintenance Chart (in color) Service Parts List Parts that go with the sale of the vehicle Exhaust system (imported by owner from Great Britain) To quote from an advertisement booklet of the time: “Here, indeed, is a motor car created originally for Royalty, which has become now the world over a majestic symbol of fine car ownership. The Mark IX is one of the most luxurious sedans ever offered as a series production car.” The vehicle is an “antique” and is being sold in As-Is condition. It is in generally good condition, but has not been checked by a mechanic. However, since it has been stored for 32 years some work is necessary. The original paint is in good condition but there are a few areas where small flakes have come off. The chrome parts are in very good condition. The tires still hold air but their condition is probably less than adequate. The interior wood work and leather is generally very good but does need some lubrication and repairs. Some dry rot has occurred in the rubber around the windows. While we have demonstrated the condition of the vehicle in the photographs, a buyer may request an on-site inspection of the vehicle at a mutually convenient date and time, weather permitting. The street photo is a pre-1978 picture. The remaining photos are recently taken of the garaged vehicle. The vehicle is not currently registered with the State of Virginia. The cost of the shipment of the vehicle from the current location is at the expense of the buyer. Payment will be by wire transfer to the bank account of Graceful Transitions.
