Up for auction is a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. It has the 5.2L (318ci) engine, which is largely why I bought it. Chrysler has been making the 318 block since the 60's. This Jeep has the off-road package with skid plates. That said, I've never taken it off-road other than the occasional gravel road. Since I've owned it, I've replaced the water pump and the alternator. I replaced the coolant hoses and serpentine belt at the same time. All of that work was done within the past year. The tires are also just over a year old and have about 15,000 miles on them. The last owner also replaced the original Infinity speakers. Apart from some wear on the driver's seat, the interior is in really good condition as is the exterior. The child seat is not included. But if you have kids, getting them in and out of this vehicle is much easier than my sedan. Known issues: The computer is saying that the coolant sensor has gone bad and needs to be replaced. I have not done this yet.The last owner replaced the factory air intake with a K&N style cold air intake. He did give me the original intake box, which I'm including.The front, driver's seat has some cracks in the vinyl (see photo)Window switch missing on rear passenger door (was missing when I purchased the vehicle) Floor mats are showing their age.Overall, I've been extremely happy with this vehicle. I'm selling it because I'm going through a divorce and have two vehicles. One has to go, so I'm keeping the "practical" four door sedan.
