The body on this Intrepid is in good condition as seen in the pic's. A few dings and scratches here and there but overall looks great. Interior is also in good shape. I purchased the vehicle knowing what needed fixed, mechanically. I drove the vehicle for several months and then needed to purchase a truck for my work. So I decided to sell the Intrepid without fixing the know items as follows. The front wheel hub on the passengers side needs replaced. I figured might as well replace both side's at the same time. I thought it was wheel bearings but found out it is actually the entire hub assembly. These can be purchased from about $50 and higher depending on where you buy them. Junk yard, auto store, etc. Autozone had them for $82 each. The right one will definitely need replaced soon, causing a shimmy at about 55 mph. Next the big job. If you know the Intrepid you know the historic transmission problem. While driving along, most of the time, if you drop your speed below 30MPH, it will shift into second gear and won't come back out unless you stop the car, turn it off, and re-start it. Then you can continue to drive until it happens again. So the transmission need to be replaced or repaired/rebuilt. This could be a junkyard transmission for $300 to $350 plus installation, or a transmission shop rebuild for around $1,500. Just letting you know the two problems with this vehicle so I am selling it AS IS, with not guarantee. Run a Kellys Blue Book, see the value listed then subtract the cost of repairs I have listed. It is a nice car, great stereo system with CD, nice seats in good condition, black in color. Tires in good condition with about 50% tread best I can tell. When I needed newer tires, I went to the junk yard and bought tires and wheels from a Concord. Actually like the style of the wheels on the Concord better...see pic's.
