Vehicle Detail
1953 M37 Dodge Military Power Wagon. 4X4. Excellent Condition with numerous spare parts. Including a power take-off gearbox for a winch. (not installed) A used Bradco Power Take-off Winch (not installed). This machine is not charging the battery @ last use. The driver and passenger doors do not have the glass in them. The speedometer cable needs replacing the original came with the truck in a box so the actual miles @ 20,000 cannot be real. New Battery. New tires. New belts. New spark plug wires. Exhaust system is solid. No engin tappet noise. After market Warn lock-out hubs. 3/4 ton. High and Low range transmission runs out great. Breaks work great. No Leaks! Gasoline engin is original mint. This thing is a blast to drive and in this condition turns heads. There is no structural damage other than what would be expected on a 70 year old machine! Shipping can be arranged at buyers expense through Fedex enclosed Van anywhere in the US. There are other numerous delivery providers, your choice. Pay Pal only. Delivery on reciept of payment. On Dec-29-10 at 09:34:40 PST, seller added the following information:Comment from Bruce: This is a nice truck you have here and a fairly rare one. It is actually an M43, which is a variation of the M37. It is a command vehicle. The spare tire was originally in the bed, but is moved to the door for more room for radios and desks in the bed. Normally only the M37B1 had the tire on the door and that wasn't until about 1955 or 56. You'll notice the square hole cut out behind the grille on the drivers' side and the wires going through to a large heat sink. That was for the extra large generator to run the radios. You can see the extra holes in the bed on the drivers side and probably an antenna mount on the driver's side of the bed. You may still have the original spare tire mount in the bed on the front passenger side or at least the two holes on the top of the front rail of the bed for the mount. There should also be 4 holes between the glove box and the gauge cluster that shows this field or depot modification. The tag is usually gone for some reason.
