Vehicle Detail
1969 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Westfalia - No Reserve! Here you go folks!> if you have been searching for one of these classic Volkswagen collectable Westfalia Buses at a bargin, you've just found it. This Westalia Volkswagen Camper Van is rare, and would be a great find for anyone who is looking for one of these to use or to restore. This bus even sports the original 5 VW hub caps & Grateful Dead stickers! We are downsizing our personal collection of goodies and the wife says she has to go! As in the decription, this bus is a 1969 and has a clear title. The engine has been gone through & rebuilt and it runs. It is drivable, but needs some TLC including some rust repairs, (not anything I would consider major), interior coverings, new canvas & seals for the pop-top (as this one has tears in it). All Glass is good except the front windshield has a crack. The interior of this bus still sports all it's original camping items including the fold down table, bed, frig, chest and water pump. The engine was completly rebuilt about 6 years ago with all new parts including complete head rebuild by a profe$$ional shop. It hasen't been used much since the rebuild, mainly because we have not licenced it in it's restoration period, but it does start and runs. I occasionally and just recently drove it around the yard here at our ranch for exercise. As far as other things that it needs, the front brakes do work, but the back needs bleeding, most of the lights do work as seen in the photo as well as the wipers. All the tires are up but the front could be replaced. The rear are at about 50%. I also have the original bumper although it had been removed at the time I took the photos. Overall, this bus is a nice foundation for an original restoration or to continue the restoration that I started. I have it safely stored in my heated shop where I've been tinkering with it, and if you are local and/or would like to look at it before the auction ends, you certainly may. You would absoulutly not be disappointed in this Westfalia, especially at this price! Pickup only, or you can arrange for shipping and/or pickup, but please feel free to contact me with any questions you might have. Thanks for looking and happy bidding> this is a no-reserve auction! On Dec-29-10 at 06:15:45 PST, seller added the following information: Also, I wanted to ad to this listing that the buyer will have plenty of time to pickup or arrange pick up of this Westfalia. Even this spring or early summer would be fine if your out of state and do not want to travel in the winter months. We have a big ranch with plently of room, so it's no problem for us to keep it here for you until you are ready. A person could even plan a vacation here in Minnesota> the fishing is great! ThanksOn Dec-31-10 at 21:11:56 PST, seller added the following information: Hi again, I had a few questions from interested buyers asking about the dark/blackish looking spots on the top. That would be tree sap. While I've been tinkering with this Wesfalia I wasen't to concerned about making it pretty pretty at this point. It has not been "cleaned up" for the photo's, but have no doubt that any tree sap or dirt could be easily removed. thanks
