This 1997 Bentley Continental T coupe is only 1 of 322 coach-built for the entire world between 1997 and 2002. With a base MSRP of $324,500, the majority of these prestigious motorcars were purchased by captains of industry and famous celebrities. The Continental T has a 6.75L turbocharged engine that produces 650 ft lbs. torque at 2,200 rpm and is dubbed by some as the Bentley "factory hot rod". Motor Trend proclaimed the Continental T to be "the baddest luxury car ever created". "This is a car capable of reaching 170 mph and yet coming to a full stop from 100 mph in under 5 seconds!" This particular example features Black Garnet Mica exterior paint, two-tone Oatmeal/Maroon hides, machine-turned aluminum dash/interior accents, beautiful hand-crafted wood door caps/interior accents, and factory sheepskin overmats. This Continental T sold new at Steve Foley/Bentley Northbrook where it was serviced exclusively and cherished by the original car-enthusiast owner until his death in late 2009. The owner’s family then sold this Continental T to the current car-enthusiast owner in February 2010 with just over 6,000 miles! The current owner immediately had a full service performed by Bentley Northbrook and replaced everything that was needed including: · Engine oil/filter · Transmission fluid/filter · Differential fluid · Fuel filter · Spark plugs · Air filter · Antifreeze coolant flushed/filled · Both rear shocks replaced · New battery · Bentley battery maintainer installed The current owner then had the car shipped to his vacation home in Naples, Florida where he kept it until recently bringing it back to Wisconsin. This Continental T is in pristine condition, both cosmetically and mechanically, as it has had the fortune of being consecutively owned by well-heeled by two motorcar enthusiasts who cherished it and maintained it to a “cost is no object” standard. I will now detail and illustrate how phenomenal this Continental T is in all aspects: Exterior: This Continental T has its stunning original Black Garnet Mica paint finish with only light touch-up work performed on a few minor rock chips. There are no dents/dings on the body and no known accident history. With the exception of a 1” paint scuff on the passenger front wheel lip (see photo), all of the original wheels are in pristine condition and still sport their original Goodyear tires. Interior: With only 9,400 miles, the interior of this Continental T is in pristine state you would expect it to be in. The original owner used a Weathertech mat instead of the sheepskin overmats or wool carpet so they too are like new. This Continental T has had the good fortune of never having an aftermarket sound system installed so the dash and all interior panels remain original and un-cut, which further shows that the car has always been collector/enthusiast owned. The original jack/tool kit, spare wheel/tire, gloves, and owner’s manual set are all present and intact. Mechanical: This Continental T has all services up to date needs and is “turn key” so it can be enjoyed immediately. All mechanical, electrical, and HVAC aspects of this Continental T perform as well as the car looks cosmetically. The original service booklet contains all dealer service stamps going back to new. All of the recent service records have been placed sheet protectors and are stored in a 3-ring binder. This pristine motorcar will easily pass any rational pre-purchase inspection with flying colors.
