I bought this car last Feb. and drove it all summer to car shows and sometimes to work. The car has the original paint, black interior, F code V8, 4spd overdrive trans, dealer installed air that works, rear window defroster works. Before driving the car I polished it out, replaced the nose with a OEM nose and grill opening reinforcement, bought 10 hole wheels and BFG tires, replaced the following items: silicone beaded intake gaskets, rubber cork valve cover gaskets, rear main oil seal, Ford Motor Sports one piece oil pan gasket, reman factory Holley 2bbl carb, distributor cap, wires, plugs, rotor, thermostat, clutch, pressure plate, pilot bearing, throw-out bearing, steering rack gear and replaced the broken console with a OEM one. Things not original when the car was bought: Full to the back straight through exhaust with Flow masters and the headliner was recovered. Things that don't work: Windshield washer squirter Things kept after buying and or replacing: Org. 2bbl factory Holley carb, factory 4 lug steel rims with hub cabs, original nose cover and GOR. Thing I bought and haven't installed: OEM 1979 3 piece rear deck spoiler, swivel map light for headliner between visiors, new front disc pads and rear shoes. This car won best of show in class at Dearborn 2010 car show and swap meet 3 day event, class award at the Shellby Show and go 2010 at Ford world Headquarters. This car has only one small rust hole in the rear right quarter, see pic, rock soild floors intact interior with no holes cut for speakers, a sony radio but factory speakers in the dash and rear hatch area. This car runs like a top and has very little that isn't original and is a perfect resto project or as a survior car unmolested to the most extent. This car also has all smog equipment intact and working. Q; Is there rust in the hem flanges and jambs A: No, this car is a true 79000 mile 302 4spd car from the factory in the best shape and factory condition possible, there might be better but it would be hard to find. If you live in there Dearborn area you can see the car in person with a appointment, I'm a private seller trying to help pay for my daughter's college costs and that's where the money is going. The reserve is $5000, so the car will not sell for $1500 so please keep that in mind. This is a first year FOX body style Mustang in the best shape you could ask for!
