This is an absolutely beautiful little truck! I bought this truck in 1997 with a bad engine. It had been sitting in a shop for a few years prior. I had the engine professionally rebuilt and drove it quite a bit until 2000. I took it to a body shop to have it repainted in 2000. It sat in the shop for around 3 years. I decided to try a different shop and moved it. At this point I decided to do a complete frame-off restoration. The truck was completely disassembled and put back together over the next year. In Sept. 2003, it was finally ready for it's first trip on the road again! It was parked back inside and the minor details were finished. It has had every nut and bolt apart, cleaned, repainted, and reassembled. I believe it only has 87,000 original miles!! It has not seen rain or snow since 1998! I don't know the whole history of this truck, but I do know that in the 70's it was in Liberty, IN and in the mid-90's, it was in Alaska. I'm sure this old truck could tell some interesting stories!! I have every receipt for every nut, bolt, bulb,etc. since I bought this truck. I have always washed it each time I drove it, even before it was restored! It has less than 1000 miles since the restoration in 2003! I have the original flathead V8 in the truck now, and I have another flathead from a 49 Mercury (I believe) that can go with the truck if the buyer is interested. As with any truck that is driven occasionally, someone has to put a scratch somewhere.... It has a small scratch on the bottom of the right rear fender that I can have repainted at little to no cost if it reaches the reserve. It also has a small scratch on the passenger side of the cab right behind the fender. Other than that, this truck is beautiful. I have over $30,000 in the restoration, and that isn't including almost 1000 hrs that were donated by a friend in the business in exchange for helping him out. The reserve is way below that and someone will have a beautiful truck for a fraction of what it would cost to build one!! I don't want to sell this, but due to other responsibilities, it must find a new home. I have access to an enclosed trailer and can help with delivery for fuel money.
