Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a beautiful 1967 Mustang that was fully restored. It is the rare Brittany Blue color with the 289 v-8 motor. I am the second owner originally purchasing the car in 1989 from the original purchaser in Stratford, Ct. Over the years since i purchased it i primarily used it as a show car when i collected many title wins. I moved to Florida and brought the car with me about 10 years ago but i never re-registered it. i kept it in my garage starting it weekly and bringing it for drives around the block to keep seals, bearings, tires, etc from breaking down. The original owners had an anti-rust process done to the car. the company was called "ZYBAR" it doesn't have practically a single spot of rust on the undercarriage or surface of the car. The undercarriage / frame of the car looks fantastic with no signs of rust what so ever. There is no rot PERIOD and the car is very solid. Over the years since the car had its restoration however there are a few very small blisters located on the rear kick plates but you have to get on the ground to be able to see them. As you can see from the pictures the paint still has a lot of shine to it. The motor is the original 289 block with 302 heads. The heads have less than 5000 miles on them. it also has msd electronic ignition with rev limiter and an msd electronic distributor and coil. the motor has an Edelbrock Performer intake and Edelbrock 600cfm 4 barrel carburetor with electric choke. There are chrome tri-y headers with glass-packs which gives the car a low aggressive exhaust note. The car originally had a 3 speed manual but currently there is a c-4 automatic that was rebuilt. the clutch petal and components are hidden under the rug if you ever want to convert it back. The gas tank was recently replaced (within the past 12 months) and new stainless steel 3/8" fuel lines were also installed. The car also has an electric fuel pump with relay. Finishing off the motor are chrome air cleaner, valve covers, breather cap, and export brace. The car recently had a coolant flush and complete tune up so there is no reason why it couldn't be driven anywhere in the country at moments notice. The interior of the vehicle is in immaculate condition. there are new seats, carpeting, trim pieces, new chrome instrument bezels, headliner along with a Hurst ratchet shifter and Grant steering wheel. I also had custom floor mats made that are blue in color with white Mustang horse in a white pile carpet. These mats were not designed for daily use and only put in the car during car shows. There is also an oversized Autometer tachometer and aftermarket very accurate internally lit temperature gauge. The tires are brand new and mounted on Cragar S/S chrome rims with spinners. The breaks have recently been re-done with the original drum break set up. there are new suspension springs up front and Gabrielle air shocks in the back that give the car an aggressive stance. The winning bidder will also receive the car's original steering wheel, hub caps, valve covers, radio, chrome radio bezel, and tail lights. (the current tail lights were modified to fit "blue dots" on them which give break lights a purple high intensity glow. I have put hundreds of hours into restoring this car. it could truly be a daily driver if you wanted it to be. I had hopes of keeping it forever but sometimes life calls on us to make difficult decisions. Feel free to ask any questions. the car is located in Bradenton, Florida and i do have the Connecticut title in hand. Good luck and happy bidding. One final note: I installed a genuine metal dual trumpet chrome yacht horn many years ago - it is hidden below the radiator. it is controlled by a button built into the Hurst T-handle shifter. It is VERY loud and a great conversation piece.
