THIS IMPALA IS A MUST HAVE CLASSIC! 1962 Chevy Impala 283CC V8 Engine ORIGINAL!! NEVER RESTORED!!! Automatic Transmission This Impala has been owned by only 1 FAMILY since 1962!!! This Impala was purchased by my great uncle, owned by my grandpa then I have owned it for 17 years. Exterior The exterior paint is white with a red pin stripe. There is a small dent in the rear chrome bumper. The body is ALL ORIGINAL…no fillers. The car has some rust around the window seals and the back window. It will need some body work to be restored. ALL exterior EMBLEMS/LOGOS are INTACT! ORIGINAL WHEELS with Chevy Impala emblem. Lots of Chrome and a distinctive look! This is a 4 door Impala! If you want to be noticed and have MORE IMPALA then the others…this is YOUR RIDE! How Many 1962 Impalas do you see listed that are ORIGINAL??? Not too many!!! THIS IMPALA HAS NEVER BEEN RESTORED…ALL ORIGINAL EXCEPT FOR THE ITEMS I MENTION! Interior The Interior of this Impala is red and black. The seats are red/black pinstripe. The dash is red. The carpet is black. The roof liner is white. EVERYTHING IS ORIGINAL…Steering wheel and column, instruments, A/M Radio, dash, seats. The carpet was replaced in 1995. Has Chevrolet floor mats. All Instruments and accessories work such as the radio, speakers, cigarette lighter, heater/air, vents, gauges and speedometer. A choke has been installed. The seats are ORIGINAL and the fabric has some tears from dry rot around the areas where the driver and passenger sit. You will need to re-fabric the seats or put on seat covers. ALL ORIGINAL IMPALA EMBLEMS/LOGOS are ORIGINAL! The rear view mirror and passenger side mirror is a OEM replacement. Engine This Impala has a 283CC V8. Automatic Transmission. All ORIGINAL…NEVER REBUILT OR RESTORED!!! I did put a 4bl. Carb, chrome breather and covers on it in 1993. Engine Runs great and starts with ease! New Exhaust pipe and muffler. Lots of space under the hood. If you know anything about 1962 Impalas…they came with a glass washer fluid bottle and bottle mount under the hood. THIS IMPALA STILL HAS ORIGINAL GLASS BOTTLE AND MOUNT UNDER THE HOOD!!!! ORIGINAL EMBLEMS, NUMBERS, Etc!!! The Ignition has a weak connection to the starter and will need to be worked with. I start it with a screwdriver at the starter when it casuses me problems. The Gas tank should be a high priority for you when you buy it. The gas tank is original and will need to be replaced due to old gas sitting in it in the garage and it began to rust. Impala Bob's sells a replacement tank and float for under $300. Other than that, no other issues exist that would keep you from driving it. Overall This 1962 Impala is waiting on your personal touch and affection! If you plan to keep a Impala ORIGINAL or want to restore it YOUR WAY…here’s your CHANCE! This car means a great deal to me since it is our family heirloom! I ask that the buyer give me 1st option to buy it back in the future if you decide to sell…although I won’t demand it…I ask for a gentlemen’s agreement! The buyer assumes all responsibility for local pickup or for selecting and paying for a shipper. I will gladly meet and assist a reputable shipping company in pickup.
