Vehicle Detail
I bought this car new. It orginally had a 260 Olds V8 and BW T50 5 speed overdrive manual with a 2.56 positraction rear. At about 50000 miles the trans failed and was replaced with a Doug Nash 5 speed manual with direct drive in 5th gear. It was orginally a silver metallic car and was repainted in silver when it was about five years old. Years later it was again repainted in black but has some runs, drips and errors. It has not been driven since about 1996 and has been stored in dry storage since that time. I stopped driving it because the rear brake line failed and car no longer had brakes. I used to start the engine several times a year but the starter shorted out and has not been started in at least 5 years. It has a broken drivers outside mirror. The car is equiped with a Rust Buster electronic rust control and is kept on deep cycle battery at all times. I believe the body is rust free but the frame probably has rust since most of these did. It is separate body and frame construction. This would make a good project car, it has the same wheebase as 1968 Camaro and probably weighs less. Yes I know it has too many doors but dare to be different; swap in an LS engine and bang gears all day but be able to get children or adults in and out of back seat. I know there is value here in the Doug Nash 5 speed. ( Later bought out by Richmond) If you buy this car and don't use the body try and sell it to someone who will use it. It is too good to be ground up and sent to China so they can melt it down and send back their junk. On Dec-07-10 at 13:07:25 PST, seller added the following information: I have added some pictures to the listing, the new picture of the rear window after I cleaned off the rear window, what looked like rust was actually evergreen leaves that had turned brown. The picture of the wheel well does show some rust. There is also a picture of the front end. The car was covered for years but it is still covered with a layer of dust.
