Vehicle Detail
This car is being sold with a starting price of $350 NO RESERVE and is in need of some TLC with some restoration IT WOULD BE A GREAT CAR ! ! ! VIN# 1G4BR8375PW400404 SOLD AS-IS / NEEDS TRANSMISISON WORK Thanks for looking at our auction - these are getting harder and harder to find. . . . . .This is a 1985 Pontiac Parisienne Safari Wagon is from an estate of an elderly woman in West Redding,CT (her birthdate on the title is 10/4/17 making her 93 years old) - the car was owned by her and her husband until he died in 1990 and the car was transferred to her name (that's why autocheck shows two owners) - THIS IS A ONE OWNER CAR - when we bought it from the estate it was in a locked garage with the keys in the ignition (it had not been started / driven in a year or so) we charged the battery overnight, we pumped the gas a few times and she fired right up. . . . the body and interior are in very good condition . . . . with LOW MILEAGE of just 98,913 (that's just 3,900 miles per year) . . . overall statement: the car is in need of transmission and exhaust work - you can drive it BUT it has a hard time shifting out of 1st gear and when it does it's very abrupt, not sure if it's an adjustment or needs further work or repair, if you needed to replace the transmission you can go to www.car-part.com and I found them for as little as $150. . . . IT IS BEING SOLD AS-IS - the most important items with ANY car is the motor (which is fine) - the transmission (which as stated needs work) - and if the undercarriage is solid (this one is fine) - any other issue is minor and easily fixed . . . . .This 1985 Pontiac Parisienne Safari Wagon runs good and would make a great candidate for light restoration, the car is 100% STOCK. . .it retains it's original paint and was always garaged, the wood decal overall looks good (NO LIFTING, BUBBLES OR FADING) - the "wood" decal on the upper tailgate needs attention, overall the wood is GREAT. . . it's rust / orange with light tan corduroy / cloth interior. . . .interior is VERY clean and was NEVER SMOKED IN (lighter and ashtray unused) . . . other than a few minor spots the only real rust is behind the passenger side rear wheel/spare tire bottom (VERY common and not expensive to fix) . . . chrome bumpers are in GREAT shape (these were prone to rust) you can see from the photos the paint is good but would definitely benefit from a compounding / buffing , the interior is very good with some minor splits on drivers seat, door panels are all in great condition, headliner is good with some droop in the front, no odd odors or issues, the brakes are low and spongy - please remember this car was from an estate of an elderly lady it was driven very little in the past few years due to her declining health, it is going to need some work, the GOOD NEWS is that parts are plentiful and inexpensive, these big wagon are easy to work on and don't have a lot of computers and there is lots of room under the hood. . . . it features an 8-cylinder engine, automatic transmission, a/c - p/w - p/s - p/b - p/locks - p/seat - factory Pontiac wire caps (all in great shape) - am/fm - power rear door window - the third row flip up seat in the rear - it also has the original factory owners manual and paperwork - the engine starts quickly and runs but would definitely benefit from a tuneup and the exhaust is a little loud, however it does run at the proper temperature and appears to have no leaks and it runs with no smoke or engine noises, it ha typical minor bumps, scrapes, dings, rust, soft dents you would find with any 25 year old car. . . . .because this car just turned 25 years old it can be registered / insured as an antique / classic - which is very very inexpensive, this Pontiac Parisienne Safari Wagon starts at just $350 and sold NO RESERVE. It has a clear Connecticut title and bill of sale (as well as all estate and legal paperwork) - OVERALL this is a great rare car at a great price, these are getting harder and harder to find , most of these large GM wagons were either Caprice Classics, Buick Estate Wagos, or Oldsmobile Custom Cruisers. . . .TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE THE PARISIENNE HAD THE LOWEST PRODUCTION NUMBERS OF THIS LINE. . . . .Feel free to ask any questions. . . . .overall this car is in very good condition. . . . . Thank You!! PLEASE NOTE YOU ARE BIDDING TO OWN THE CAR, NOT BIDDING TO WIN THE CHANCE TO COME AND KICK THE TIRES AND THEN DECIDE IF YOU WANT IT, PLEASE ASK ALL QUESTIONS BEFORE BIDDING, WE WILL BE HAPPY TO ANSWER ANYHING YOU WOULD LIKE TO KNOW, FULL PAYMENT DUE WITHIN 3 DAYS FROM AUCTION CLOSE, TITLE AND BILL OF SALE WILL BE OVERNIGHTED TO YOU ONCE PAYMENT HAS CLEARED WE CAN ASSIST WITH SHIPPING - WE DO NOT HAVE A BUY IT NOW PRICE - THANK YOU AND GOOD LUCK BIDDING
