Way back a long time ago, about 20 years to be exact, my wife wanted a little Morris Minor. So, I started the search. Clean Minors are hard to find (no pun intended), and it took a while. I saw this little jewell resting in a truck shop in Livermore, California. Unfortunately, it had just been sold. Damn!!!! It was too nice to just walk away. I inquired as to who the lucky dude was, and contacted him. He informed me that the little critter was going to be gutted and turned into an electric car. No No No, Says I, this sweetie is much to nice and original for that. Tough, says the mean 'ol man, it's mine and I'll do what I want with it. So I proceed to hit the guy with every sob story I could think of. No luck. The guy had more money than he knew what to do with, and just didn't care about little cars with heart. Sooooo, I says, hey......I know you haven't actually paid for the little gal yet, so how 'bout I give you a hundred bucks more than what you were to pay, and we'll just call it a day. Hell yes, says the scrooge, how can I pass up a profit when I haven't even paid for the bugger yet. My wife came home that night to find this wee jewell waiting in the garage, with a huge yellow bow on top. Tears were in order, lots of 'em. Well, 20 years and about 4,000 miles later, she has decided to pass this wonderfull little minor on to another lucky person. To start with, there is really nothing wrong with this car. As a great driver, it needs nothing. Sure, it has some patina, but bare in mind that it's 44 years old. The paint is all original and is thin in spots, but still shines. The upholstery is all original, and need not be replaced. It needs carpets, but has some that works. The glass is all original and good. The dash looks brand new. The tires are good and the brakes are fair. No, wait, that's just a song. Actually, the tires are new, and the brakes work fine. My apologies for the pissy poor pictures. We just got a foot of snow, and I was in a hurry. I didn't even wash the little girl. If you're interested, I'll clean her up and send pics. They were not taken in the best of conditions, but should show the details much better. A few items that might be in question: The front seats are in better shape than the rear, they show no wear. The smudges around the speedo bezel and vertical chrome dash pieces are just that. The chrome is perfect. The mileage is correct. The floor and underbody shots seem to show some rust. There are places where the paint or undercoating is off. THERE IS NO RUST ON THIS CAR!!!!!!!!!! There are several small dents on this puppy. I'll leave it up to you to find them. This little bugger has never been in an accident, period. Even though the hood side emblem says 1000, these engines were just under 1100cc. The quarter window seals are dry, and need replacement. All of the wheel arches are perfect. This car has never been "detailed". Whew!!!!!!!! Any questions, please call. This wonderfull cruizer needs a happy new owner, not just a new owner. I wanted to let potential bidders know this before the reserve is met, and it's very close........On Dec-07-10 at 09:19:53 PST, seller added the following information: I have added three pictures of the trunk area. The bottom lip of the deck lid has several places where the paint has been chiped off, and there spots have surface rust. Note the condition of the factory wiring!!! In the picture of the spare tire well, there is some discoloration at the back. That is dust accumulation, no rust!! The factory jack is still present, and in it's original pouch. Notice the reserve has been met..........
